I have a few hundred items listed with padded flat rate envelope as the main shipping option and there is a glitch that will not let the buyer see anything except for UPS ground. I have tried changing it back and forth by revising it but no luck. Just talked to Ebay and they said they may look into in a week or so. **bleep**. No one will purchase the small items with the high shipping prices that are being stuck on them.
If anyone else is having this issue please let me know if you have found a fix.

Something to do with the updates has removed those options from my section of "carrier packaging". It has also removed them my listed items so the customer can not select them, so it shows the customer UPS option only, that I had listed as a secondary option.

Im having same issue also, flat rate options appear when you list the item but wont appear on the listing and seller cant see shipping costs and when printing a label wont come up when you click on carries options either. Only has priority with no other priority options. Im hoping its just a glitch and gets fixed soon its very annoying not just to me but the buyers as well!!

You nailed it dead on. They have changed the presets for the size requirements and if the sizes are listed as being larger than what they programmed, then it will not show the options for the buyer or in the shipping program when you go to ship. Unfortunately that means I will need to go through a couple thousand items to change them so they will work now.
Thanks for the info

I am unable to print shipping labels for items I've sold because it doesn't show flat rate options. Any work around for that? I can't change the item since it is sold. Need quick answer so I don't get dinged on shipping >24 hours.

I am still sorting out some of the wreckage it has caused me also but the only way I have been semi successful is to go to custom size tab and change the size of the box then back to the flat rate tab and it has been there some of the time. Padded Flat rate envelope put 12x8x1 and small flat rate 6x5x1 and then they seem to show (some of the time)
Good luck
Hope that helps

I think the dimensions are the key here, anc be sure you have selected "carrier packaging". To more confound the issue all my listings now have a "shipping policy" of which there's about 75, no clue what they are or how to change one without affecting other listings. Oh, and no more "order details" selection, email addresses, etc.

I hope that fixes it for you.
Yes, this is the fix. I had to manually change the size on many of my listings, and then everything was okay. I also had to change the size for listings that had small flat rate box and medium flat rate box to reflect the correct size for those boxes. This all started when the new dimensional shipping rates went into effect on June 23rd. For some reason after that change, eBay now needs the exact size on each listing for flat rate envelopes and boxes. 😕

Hi @backinaction_powersports & @dtexley3, I've received word that we are experiencing some issues with USPS Priority Mail flat rate services. The issue is causing some Priority Mail services to not show on listings and some flat rate services are not always available when purchasing a label. These issues should be resolved within a few days (I don't have an exact date), so hopefully it doesn't cause an impact for much longer.

brian@ebay Since there is a work around (adding dimensions that match eBay's criteria), why not notify affected sellers? Why leave them in the dark for "a few days" (more likely weeks) when they can, if they choose, modify the listing now?
I realize you are just the front line, but somewhere up the chain someone has to have at least half a clue on how to mitigate the impact of a bug that has the potential to impact thousands of sales. Just unreal.

To add to my previous post, sellers can update any affected listings with package dimensions at or below USPS specified limits for the service, rounding down fractional inches (using 1x1x1 would also work here). This should cuase the service to appear on the listing and fix the issue with printing a label for the service. This is just a workaround until we resolve the issue on our end, which should happen within a few days. Thanks!

the usps flat rate, boxes and envelopes should already have predefined precoded measurement values. listings should not need measurements except for weight to make sure it does not exceed 70 lbs. this is the precept i used when i redid my listings getting ready for dim weight shipping. all my listings with flat rate anything, still work as intended with only the weight entered.
