Just to be clear though - was this a fixed price listing with 2 quantity that the buyer bought both of and it's showing up on the slip as only 1?

From what I can see on that example it's a single quantity listing titled as a 'lot' of 2 dishes - from our perspective only a single unit of the item sold (does that make sense? It's a bit of a word salad).

yes, it's one fp listing........but has 2 items in it.......  and if you're confused, how do you think a buyer will see it.......lol

I understand/understood WHY ebay reads it like this......but doubt the buyers will

I don't know how "doable" this is, but it seems to me "quantity" is ONLY relevant when dealing with multi quantity listings, where a buyer can buy, just for example, 1, 2 ,3 or 4 of an item. But for listings that are for either one item or one "lot" of items (such as the 2 pyrex items), it would actually be LESS confusing to NOT mention quantity at all.
