I ordered a new item on eBay and never received. The seller sent a tracking number from USPS. We have informed mail so we could tell right away the tracking number was not coming to our address. We also confirmed that independently with the USPS fraud department.
we submitted all this information via the help function in eBay and were told simply the seller provided a tracking number so my case was to be closed.
We will now dispute the charge on my credit card.

Stinks when losers figure out how to cheat the system...
hurts us all.
I really try and vet my seller before I buy from them.
Good luck.

It is NOT 'package redirection'. It is simply a thief working the system.
Ebay will only help if you do these 2 things
1.) appeal
2.) have a letter from the carrier service that the item was NOT delivered to XXXX Address (your address as you have on ebay)
They do this simply because anyone can say 'I didn't get it', coupled with the fact that per privacy laws, carriers can only provide the delivery zip code.
It's not hard to google a grocery store address in your zip, change the delivery address when purchasing a label to that address, ship a small rock and there you have it- a delivery of YOUR item in YOUR zip code.
