Package not delivered on time

I'm closing my account and just opened it they've had long enough to deliver my package it was supposed to be the 4th it's the 8th and still no package. I own a business and need my items when I'm told they'll be here. They lie and take your money already knowing they're not going to deliver. I'll be reporting them the better business bureau ASAP. This rediculous!!!!!

Re: Package not delivered on time

Ok, first if you need something by a certain date, order it to arrive at least 2 weeks before you need it. Second, grow up, the world, and especially shipping during a pandemic doesn't revolve around you.

Re: Package not delivered on time

Please give your seller some latitude provided you got a tracking number that says acceptance, you KNOW the seller shipped your item.   As sellers, we have handling dates, so if I specify two days handling time, and you buy from me, on 12/9, I MUST get it scanned by the end of 12/11.  If your seller met his or her handling time, then the seller did his or her part.

I would recommend waiting at least five business days beyond the estimated eBay date and insist the seller open a missing mail complaint with the Post Office.  If they respond back saying it is missing, by all means open an INR.  That said, please allow your seller two weeks to deal with your order.  The reason is if you open an INR and your seller gives you an refund then the item shows up... your seller cannot likely file an insurance claim.

Regardless, you WILL get your item, OR you WILL get your money back.  That is guaranteed.  Please just give it some extra time.  Some sellers on here have eBay as their only source of income, and they are very stressed in that they cannot continue to lose items, postage, and eBay fees because USPS is not performing.   Unfortunately, this impacts you as the buyer as it shrinks what is available on eBay.

Moreover, simple $7 and $9 items are disappearing because a FedEx or UPS label costs at least $8, so this hurts both the buyer and seller.   The problem is USPS right now.

Re: Package not delivered on time

Your expectations are unreasonable and eBay isn't helping matters. There's a worldwide pandemic, US cases are on the rise, all shipping carriers are overloaded with increased volume and short staffs.

Packages that used to take 1 day to ship to the next town over are now taking 4-6 days on average.

eBay is made up of individual sellers, all relying on 3rd party shipping carriers like USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc. eBay doesn't have its own fleet of dedicated delivery vans like Amazon or Staples. Even Staples with its own delivery service recently took 4 days to get me a package I would have typically received the next day. It was a business item and guess what - I ordered it 2-1/2 weeks before I needed it, knowing full well I might still have to make other arrangements if it was somehow delayed.

Adjust your thinking and your typical behaviors. It'll do wonders for ya buddy! We've got a long way to go before we get past this s****y pandemic.

If this is truly how you feel and you've gotten the impression someone is intentionally doing this to make your life miserable, then I wish you luck in any future endeavors.

Re: Package not delivered on time

please close your account. ebay sellers don't want your business anyway. Sellers are sick and tired of buyers complaining about delayed shipping times during the pandemic and holiday shopping season that are no way the fault of ebay or any seller that ships on time. All sellers are seeing the shipping delays but if you need something for your business by a certain time, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE AT THE LAST MINUTE.

It's all the carrier companies, and it doesn't matter where you buy from. It could be from ebay, amazon, staples, or office depot it just doesn't matter. Even my shipments for inventory are messed up, I just got the rest of my Halloween inventory in the beginning of December. The only thing is to be patient.

For sure, it is USPS, UPS, & Fed Ex, all of them. Our outbound stuff was moving well until the last 7-10 days, then everything slowed down. Blame it on the season, but it does seem to be worse this year.

After reading all the posts here on the shipping board, and seeing the multiple reports of tracking problems, and INR's and refunds as a result of these problems, we have put our store on 'time away' until there is more clarity on this problem. We will monitor tracking on all of our 'in-transit' packages, and when they begin to move, or show delivered, we will change the settings and list again, but until that begins to happen, we will wait to see some improvement and/or deliveries.  IMHO, it comes down to how much confidence one has in eBay's ability to be fair to seller's who are getting dinged due to no fault of their own. Ask yourself that question, then act accordingly. Good luck to all sellers.

Re: Package not delivered on time

Just an update, put store on 'time away', yesterday morning (12/9), with 15 packages undelivered, and one day later, we still have 13 undelivered. If any progress is being made on deliveries, it is slight. Again, will postpone additional listing until this is resolved.

We have a first class package from IL to CA that is out for delivery today, taking 12 days if delivered today, and a Priority package from IL to VA that still shows 'Depart post office' after 7 days, and no other tracking. And the VA priority buyer is asking where is my package?, but being reasonable so far.
