I couldn't produce a shipping label on ebay. Ebay has an error message on the page saying " destination country not supported by ebay..."
The problem is ...it was a domestic address.
Ebay led me in the wrong direction then buyer advised me it was a domestic address, I show and tell ebay multiple reps and could not get it resolved. I cancelled the transaction and issued a refund.
I explained EVERYTHING ebay put me through to my buyer ( lies, different answers... even blaming the buyer )with no results.
Here is my buyers response
Thank you
Read on: his response to me
Yeah, I've had nothing but issues with eBay for several years. I stopped selling on the platform because they were charging far too much for each of the items I sold... I was a watch reseller and they were eating deeply into my profits by the time I quit using them. Heck, every time someone tried to scam me on eBay and I filed a complaint, eBay sided with the scammer. eBay has become quite useless, sorry to say...
The address I have listed is correct for my location; I am overseas, but the DPO (Diplomatic Post Office), exactly like an APO or FPO, is supposed to be recognized as a US-like postal zone. They are VERY common and I've never have an issue till recently.
I guess we'll both just have to abandon eBay for good--they can't handle the most basic transactions anymore. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The buyer is apologizing to me ( seller that cancelled the transaction , I couldn't create ba shipping label) for the inconveniences created by ebay with NO ANSWERS OR A SOLUTION.
I am starting to believe ebay doesn't want my business as a seller. What is the answer?
Probably what my buyer suggested
Move on

there customer service is the worst , and the glitches are constant .... and yes this CEO is running off buyers as the exodus has sped up since his arrival

If you had an issue printing a label through eBay you could have tried several things first.
Use PirateShip to print your label costs the same as printing a label on eBay. Or USPS click and ship they have commercial pricing now. Or take to your post office. It would have cost a little more than what you would’ve paid on line. Then place the tracking number into the order.
I would have done those things first before canceling.

As suggested on one of your other posts about the same thing, there are other ways you could have produced a label for your buyer.

Paypal labels are always an easy option too, have used them many, many, times.

If you are making sales, don't make rush decisions for a st*pid label. As others pointed out, there are other label providers. Once you start using them, and you find out there are virtually no glitched, they respond to emails within 24 hours, or within hours if you send in inquiry during their business hours, have live chat, will solve any problem for you, you may never look back...

Missing the point , I was led in wrong direction and ebay reps didn't know, they kept leading me the wrong way trying to fix an international shipping label issue.
I had the buyer tell me it was domestic label. Couldn't produce a label. It wouldn't allow it. The system thought it was international so it wouldn't let me generate the domestic label. Ebay reps don't know what to do, they don't suggest another way to produce a label.
So I'm supposed to go see if maybe PayPal labels will work or go to post office and do it manually.
See the problem is...the fact that ebay isn't free...they charge for their services, but their services SUCK.
TIME TO MOVE ON.
Paying higher ebay fees for more ebay aggravation is not for me.
Time is worth more than money. You can't get it back.
EBAY IS COSTING ME BOTH.
It not worth the hassle
Paying ebay and no help... they're moving in the wrong direction.
I believe
They dont want my business or I would have better results
3 of last 5 transactions have had issues relating to ebay, where they create an issue.
One was another error message of a different kind.
It seems purposely done now

How do I know? Ebay reps didn't know , they didn't even know the DPO address is domestic. I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE THAT KNOW THAT IMMEDIATELY
Not wasting my time, I pay ebay fees for service....GOOD SERVICE
not received , just the opposite.
Ebay leading me down wrong path.
I CALLED OVER 15 TIMES , for answers.
15+ ebay reps didn't know what to do, didn't know what the problem was or how to fix, no suggestions to try PayPal labels or go to the Post office.
They thought the address was the problem, it isn't...it's EBAY , their system , in house.
I go above and beyond , for me to even come to community and post anything ...I'm **bleep**.
I kept my buyer informed through the whole process ebay put me through.
DID YOU READ HIS RESPONSE?
IIt speaks VOLUMES

Unfortunately the phone reps often don't have the ability to solve a problem unless there is already a pre-written script. If you ever do run into another problem here, you might want to try asking on the community boards first.
This is just a guess but there have been continual problems with US Protectorate labels. It's very possible that the APO etc labels are being affected by the same problem.

Hey everyone, just a friendly reminder that our customer support agents, whether you reach them by phone, chat, or social media, all have similar tools access, permissions, and training. You should expect a similar experience no matter which contact method you choose, though obviously hold times and volumes can make one method quicker than another at various times.
