Neg FB for over 30 day return.

Can a buyer leave me neg FB for not accepting a return over my 30 return policy?  I just got the return request, the shirt was delivered 11/8. Said they bought the wrong size. They bought 2, so I guess return will be for both.  The return said I am not obligated, but want to make sure they can't leave neg FB.

Yes, they can. Could you get it removed? Depends on what it says.

Thanks for the response. So tired of always doing what I don't want to do because of fear of bad FB.

I don't know what the point of 30 day return policy is for.

Might be an Ego thing - getting a bad feedback. Do what you feel is the correct way - most of us would rather bite it and just take back the return for goodwill for the customer - you never know if they have money problems or other reasons for the return, and hope you get back the same product without damage - if it comes back with damage - report the buyer. Still no guarantee that they cannot leave a negative after you okay the return. In fact if you don't accept the return, they can go to Paypal for up to 180 days and get a return that way (although they would have to pay the shipping back) - It's a no win situation for the seller. As Ebay would say..........the risks of selling.........but then, leaves a bad taste in the mouths of sellers.

Never fear the Neg.

If they do, reply something like 'Ordered wrong size. Wanted return over a month later.'

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Update: Just noticed my first neg FB, looked immediately. It was the person that ordered the wrong size shirt and wanted a return 7 weeks later.  The FB stated " Would not accept a return, sent the wrong size".  They clearly stated in the return that THEY ordered the wrong size, but the FB makes it look like I sent the wrong size.  Here's the kicker, I did accept the return. It was against my better judgement, but decided it wasn't worth neg FB. I got it anyway. They ordered 2 shirts, only put in a return for one. I accepted the return on that one, and they left neg FB on the other one.  Well, ebay removed it because they left FB on the wrong item. I know what list this person is going on, and it's not the nice one.

I think some people are just mean. I reached out to this customer, letting them know I did accept the return.  I said please check your messages and the transactions because there were 2, you will see I accepted the one you opened a return on.  No response.  They have not updated the return with tracking, so after the 27th I will have ebay close it.

Just call up ebay  ask the  rep look at the feedback  then point out it was for the wrong item , they may remove it. .  You can also do a follow up response to that feedback left by the buyer .

If your buyer exploited your 30 day return policy then you should reach out to eBay and they should absolutely remove it, if that was what the negative feedback was about. Unfortunately if that was their intent but instead they came up with some other false doragatory comment - like "buyer was nasty to deal with", I dont know something, totally unrelated then eBay seems to give them the benefit of the doubt. But when you have the evidence, then eBay should be removing it when you call & discuss it.

My issue has been also - WHEN does THIRTY days actually begin and end? One eBay rep told me it's 30 days from the date they purchase it. That would fit in with ALL OTHER ONLINE STORES! Their return dates start with when you hit submit and paid regardless if it takes 2 or 10 days to arrive. And if you have to send it back, most companies go by when they recieve it, again regandless if you have to use very slow UPS ground to go from the east coast to the west coast. I've had items arrive one day after their 30 day return policy despite having been mailed 5 days eariler and do not get my amount refunded - then they issue a credit.
But, I have issues with when 30 days begins. One rep said on the date of the sale. Called back 30 mintues later, spoke to another rep who said i was ill informed and it's from the date they receive the package.

30 days from the date the customer receives the package. Many people think it's from the date of sale and it is'nt.

If you go to one of your listings and click on the shipping tab look at what it says in the return policy :  "After receiving the item, contact seller within"  The 30 days is just below that.
