Need to void a FedEx label and it won't let me

So I sold an item on Ebay and thought I would use the purchase a label option and picked FedEx, however when I did and put the dimensions in it said it was going to be $326 to ship it so I clicked the back button, but it still had the transaction go through. I haven't printed the label instead I went directly to FedEx and it only cost $36 to ship and not the $326. Now I can't void the original label and when I add the tracking number for the package I successfully did from FedEx.com it now says there are multiple shipments for the order. There is only one shipment from FedEx and not two. I tried to use the drop down actions option and it doesn't give me the option to void. Please help.

Are you able to do any adjustments for that listing from this page?

https://www.ebay.com/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub

That is a huge disparity, pretty obvious there was an input error....hitting the 'back' button should not have initiated a final label

Re: Need to void a FedEx label and it won't let me

This is a very simple situation to solve.  You can not void a FedEx or UPS label.  This is because you are not charged for the label until you use it and it is delivered.  There is nothing to void.  You have not been charged.  Simply discard the label and move on.

If you were already charged for it then the charge would be in your payment fee details too.

Re: Need to void a FedEx label and it won't let me

This is no longer accurate if ever, and unfortunately showing  up in search results.  If you “print” a FedEx label by mistake it needs to be voided. If the label is “printed”, then the label exists, even if it’s only in the form of a number. Depending on circumstances, eBay lets you pay for your shipping label with the funds from the sell. FedEx may not charge until a label is used/scanned, but eBay will take that money from your  funds immediately. The label must be voided through ebay. Ebay then requests FedEx that the label be voided on their end. eBay will not refund your money until they know the shipping label can’t be used. According to an EBay rep I spoke with early Feb 2024, this can take as long as 3 weeks. You can find documentation that says 2 weeks, but I was told 3 weeks is more accurate.

Re: Need to void a FedEx label and it won't let me

You are replying to a discussion from Nov 2022 @clehay so the info above is very outdated. eBay changed the UPS and FedEx process approx 6 months ago to bill upfront which means those labels do need to be voided if they are not used.

To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Void from the Actions drop-down. The void option is available for 5 days.

It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (bank, credit card, eBay funds, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.

Printed eBay Standard Envelope labels are non-refundable and cannot be voided.

eBay International Standard Delivery labels are not charged to your account until they are used, so there is no void option.
