Name change different than paypal name and address

Have a buyer of a very expensive item. Verified that whatever paypal account she paid with had to be the exact address on the paypal payment. She agreed after verifying with her (name on paypal is not hers but someone elses). Package goes out with the signature required. She comes back with a story that she was out of town and had it sent to a friends address, but the landlord (this is a house address not an apartment or condo) had returned all her packages because they we're tired of receiving them. Package on tracking says delivered then refused a few days later. Package is on the way back to me. Now she wants me to send it to the same address but with a totally different first and last name (now a man's name). She says she doesn't want it via USPS now, but wants it as UPS. Should I send it again to the new name or should I send again to the specific paypal address AND name. I also feel I should send it via USPS still. I feel like they would be more careful with letting the package go to the right individual with their restricted insurance option.

Do not resend until you sort things out. Is this a long time ebayer? Will you be covered if you reship to the same address but a different name? This buyer has already lied to you, do you want to risk your item?

the buyer's account has gotten another 50 positive feedbacks since buying my item. That's the question though am I protected if I send to the alternate name and should I use UPS as the requested on the second try? or should I stick with USPS.

Don't change anything on an address field ebay will tell you if it's in messages they can protect But you won't have any Paypal  seller protection at all
You stand to lose your expensive item.
is it the 1265.00 item?
If so & you want to deal with this person & feel they are not scamming you then tell them the only way you are protected  as a seller is to refund them re list the item and have them purchase it again Making any necessary changes to the address on the check out page before they purchase
Not sure why they want you to change the shipping method to UPS but that's your call if you want to change the shipping method before you relist it.

Before refunding Cancel with Problem with Buyers address this way you get your Final value fees returned .

Agree with @labs118. However do not cancel and refund until you have the item back. Open it in front of postal clerk at postoffice simply because you state it showed delivered than refused (which is odd in my mind).  I'd run away from this buyer as quick as possible if I were you and put them on my block list.

50 more positives are they all from sellers? If this a new account or a big seller? If it's an old account with a sudden burst of new purchases it could be a compromised account. If looks suspicious I'd report to ebay for them to look into.

With only 31 feedbacks you set yourself up as a target for scammers listing such an expensive item. Sell a bunch of lower priced items first to build your feedback. Probably better to sell that item coming back to you on Craigslist or something to where you personally meet the buyer.
