Multiple eBay Standard Envelope have had no update on shipping in WEEKS

Hello,

I ship a lot of coins, cards, and stamps, so I typically use the eBay Standard Envelope option. However, the last 2 items I've sent have not had any updates in weeks, and the buyers are now messaging me frustrated because they have not received their items. Has anyone else been experiencing this? I'm not sure what to do. I've fulfilled my end as the items have been shipped and they've received at last some tracking info, but the buyers also deserve to receive their items. I don't know what to do. Anyone have any advice?

First , stop using this method unless your coins are worth a buck or less.  Add 3-4 dollars to the starting price of the coin and use first class mail.   I am pretty sure that the buyers have received their envelops but since it was not scanned, they want a refund.   You will have no choice but to refund them once they open an item NOT received case.   Sellers are responsible for the items to be scanned delivered. Unfortunately, they have to pray that the postal worker will scan the items just before putting it in the mailbox.

EBay standard envelope is a great service.  You are protected.  Let the buyers know that if they don't receive it from 30 days from the time you printed out the shipping label, you will refund them.  The eBay standard envelope is insured the PIP.  If they open up a claim and eBay sides with them and refunds them automatically, write down the date you printed up the label and try filing the insurance claim through PIP on day 30 or 31 from the creation of that shipping label.  You will have to look it up to find where you go to file the claims, but PIP is very good about paying.  I have had about 10 out of maybe 1,500 or so go missing and PIP has paid every time within a week except for one time wherein it wanted more information from me.  That one took about 2 weeks to get paid.

I use this service a lot, but the problem with the missing scans isn't with the postal workers. They have no ability to scan the letters. Everything is dependent on how the letter is sorted since all scanning is done by the sorting machines. If it happens to get mixed in with larger flats instead of letters then it will not get scanned at all.

I sell coins on another account and have had hundreds shipped with ESE. Several have either not scanned at all or not received a final scan, but all were delivered on time. I have never had one go missing, which I can not say for packages.
