Mission Control...We have a Problem with USPS

Mailed a box Priority Mail yesterday with USPS...in person...and took photo of it with clerk in person...LOL...and sent it to buyer...nothing as far as it scanned...or on its way...at $18.40 for the box. Ouch!

This will become a nightmare if buyer is not honest in receiving it.

Has scanning become obsolete? All my other items without tracking make it cross-country 4-5 days.

Re: Mission Control...We have a Problem with USPS

I never contact any buyers first...even if an item got returned as undeliverable.

I buy my stamps cheaper than face value on eBay from other sellers.

I decided to go with this box because it comes with free $100. insurance if lost.

Having buyer leaving positive feedback this morning...I assume he has not received it yet.

And the "Big Win'....I posted the sale and it sold a few hours later...I promoted it 20% and because I guess it sold so quickly I did not get charged for that 20 % promoted fee.

Re: Mission Control...We have a Problem with USPS

All priority and ground advantage packages come with $100. insurance.  You didn't have to use a med flat rate box to get that---your helpful post office worker could have explained that to you, but you do you.   You never did answer if you checked the tracking number you entered on the sale to make sure you copied it correctly from your receipt.

Was your item heavy?

Re: Mission Control...We have a Problem with USPS

Hopefully there will be no issue with the shipment.

Now if there is an issue, you have quite the conundrum.

If it never gets a scan and never gets delivered..............    there you sit with receipt in hand.........  but never a scan.........  just what would the USPS stance on a lost package insurance claim be ?  🤔

So, it does seem that USPS has "something going" on that tracking #, or the message should be different than "Information available soon".  Seem the tracking # has to exist, (which clearly it does) or it would just tell you it does not exist when you check.

Yup, that $80 item could have gone in most any packaging.

Thing is GA (which doesn't seem would be a downgrade from the offered shipping method) has that same up to $100 insurance.  If OP was getting packaging at the PO, generally (per policy) the "flat rate" boxes are what is available for Priority.

Re: Mission Control...We have a Problem with USPS

Tracking was copied from the receipt plus I have a photo of it.

400 trading cards +. somewhat heavy.

I sold item in a few hours after posting it with 20 % promoted. And I didn't get charged with a promoted fee.

Unusual?
