Missing USPS package

Despite having received an E-Bay email on 4/1/22 at 10:16am MST stating my package was on my front porch, there was nothing there. I just sent a note to the seller, yet found there is no way to contact E-Bay directly because their auto-messages state it was delivered. Moreover, there is no guiding instruction from E-Bay on what to do....  Suggestions???

Re: Missing USPS package

1. Call your local PO and ask them to check the GPS coordinates to make sure it wasn't mis-delivered.

2. If they confirm it was delivered to your address, ask them to check with the carrier to find out where the package was left.

3. Check with other members of your household and your neighbors.

4. If you come to the conclusion that the package was stolen off your porch then you can file a report with the police, USPS and your homeowners insurance. The seller is not responsible.

5. If theft is a pattern in your area, then look into more secure delivery options such as a box for your porch, a PO box, or having packages delivered to a friend/family member.

Good luck @cpkt725!

Re: Missing USPS package

Ebay is not responsible either for a stolen package.

Re: Missing USPS package

You might want to contact your local post office to see if they can provide more information for you. It's always possible, they delivered the parcel to one of your neighbors. Another possibility is that they USPS did deliver the parcel to your address & then some porch pirate did a grab & run. Another possibility is that someone in your household has already picked up the parcel & left it hiding somewhere in your house. Unfortunately, the ebay seller nor ebay will be able to help you much at this point. They aren't responsible for the security at the delivery location.

Good luck
