Miss-use of Priority Mailers

ARGGG. I just got my latest auction win. Media Mail with 19 Priority Envelopes used as packing materials. And no not a single one was previously used (though that doesn't matter), and NOT A SINGLE one will be able to be used.

I will definitely be reporting this seller to his Post Office tomorrow.

Good for you!

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.

Re: Miss-use of Priority Mailers

After you do that, I'd send them a link to the USPS regs, highlighting the fines.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Re: Miss-use of Priority Mailers

I have had a few of these. Don't bother telling post office, they don't care and don't want the extra work. Most POs now have them behind the counter and one has to ask for them.

I find that to be totally unnecessary. You received your item undamaged correct? Smiley Happy

Nope but that is where the package came from.

Re: Miss-use of Priority Mailers

If their PO opens a few of their "media mail" items for inspection and charges them, maybe that will get their attention.

At one of the offices that I was running, one of the seasonal customers shipped several boxes of things that they needed, from Fl to NY,  as "media mail".

Everything from dishes, to food, to spray paint in the boxes.

After the boxes were inspected, and the correct charges were levied,  they did not do it again. Well at least not while I was there. Probably did it that way for years.

Re: Miss-use of Priority Mailers

First class mail...NOT MEDIA MAIL

Called USPS and got person who talked with mouth full of mashed potatoes, no help.

Sent buyer another shipment to his mothers in NJ avoiding NY where packages go to die.

Re: Miss-use of Priority Mailers

Priority tape is actually a label and not very strong, it is ment for marking not sealing packages

The OP @lja440 works for USPS so in this instance, it will help.

Re: Miss-use of Priority Mailers

Well, I messaged him before calling the PO and leaving feedback. He did not reply.

I just got off the phone with his post office. As soon as I said his name there was recognition. Pretty much he is a chronic short payer and a bit of a PITA. They said they also are having issues with someone emptying the lobby rack of Priority Mailers. His packages are now flagged for inspection.
