Since the beginning of the year, I started to sell game cases that were too good to be tossed out that a neighbor was putting out. I originally sold them as first class mail, but then I thought people might not buy them for at least $4 to get them shipped. So I used Media Mail as a cheaper alternative to ship them out . But there was one person who's asking why I'm selling the cases in that mail format.
So should I just stick with media mail for game cases, or go back to first class?

I suggest you look up "media" mail and see the ONLY things that are legal to mail in that class of mail.........
use lst class.........

You have to use First Class, because those cases are not eligible for shipping via Media Mail. Sooner or later one of your buyers would get hit with Postage Due and you'll get bad feedback about it. The buyer who gave you a heads-up about this was doing you a favor.

4.0 Content Standards for Media Mail
4.1 Qualified Items
Only these items may be mailed at the Media Mail prices:
a. Books, including books issued to supplement other books, of at least eight printed pages, consisting wholly of reading matter or scholarly bibliography, or reading matter ... containing no advertising matter
b. 16-millimeter or narrower width films
c. Printed music, whether in bound or sheet form
d. Printed objective test materials and their accessories
e. Sound recordings
f. Playscripts and manuscripts for books, periodicals, and music
g. Printed educational reference charts
h. Loose-leaf pages and their binders consisting of medical information for distribution to doctors, hospitals, medical schools, and medical students.
i. Computer-readable media containing prerecorded information and guides or scripts prepared solely for use with such media.
If these cases do not include the disk, then I would guess they should not be sent as media mail.

First Class. No doubt about it; they are not Media Mail items.
Collectors who want minty original game cases will not have a problem with First Class Package costs.

Do not give out advice if you are only guessing.
Even with the discs, they are not eligible for Media Mail. Here is the official ruling which indicated that video games aren't eligible for MM:

Video games are NOT accepted in media mail. They will look inside too.
