Did you mean:

Me is confused

Ok, it may be really nothing. But still....

Shipped out the package Dec 19th.... Yes, there was a delay, and the package was out for delivery Jan 4th. So I took a deep breathe and relaxed-yay, it did not take a month to get it delivered!

There were no messages or any kind of communication/activity between me and the buyer other than paid/shipped process.

Now this is what I get when track the number

Delivery Attempt

Held at Post Office, At Customer Request

Does this mean the buyer refuses delivery? And if so, what is my next step?

Re: Me is confused

It means the buyer asked the package to be held at the post office for them to pick up.

Re: Me is confused

Send buyer a message that tracking indicates package is being held at their post office by their request.

Some people are still going out of town, etc and they put a hold on their mail

Re: Me is confused

Normally, the status would mean exactly what it says, but I'm not so sure right now. Try doing a web search with the phrase "Held at Post Office, At Customer Request" and check out a few of the news articles.

"U.S. Postal Service customers across the country have been receiving a notification that often alarms and perplexes them: The message says packages they expected delivered to their home or business are being held at a post office “at the request of the customer.” But customers who are receiving these notifications never requested that their mail be held.

The packages are delayed because of broad changes Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has implemented to the nation’s mail delivery operations, including policies that slow down package delivery.

When a mail carrier cannot deliver a package on the day it was scheduled because their shift is ending, postal workers say, the system sometimes generates a misleading “held at the request of the customer” message."

Re: Me is confused

"At Customer Request" makes me think it is NOT a 'Return to Sender' issue. Your next step is to wait... your buyer will likely go to the PO for the package. Good luck.

I have experienced this,  no request was made on My behalf to the post office, the item was delivered the next day.

Re: Me is confused

Hmmm.....

Under eBay policy isn't a scan as "Attempted Delivery" equal to "Delivered"?  So that would mean, for eBay's purposes the seller has met their obligation to deliver the item to the buyer.  Thus you are done!

I suspect this was a policy clarification by one of the blues as I'm not finding it.
