Hey guys! In Jan 15, I sent a packaged laptop to a buyer. The item was delivired on my ebay on the 21st of January.
Yesterday, March 7, the seller sent me a message that the laptop screen is broken. He attached photos. He is asking to retuen it.
I don't want to return it because when he used the freigh forwarder it made it at least 3 time more likely to break because the freigh forwarder will group them in the US, then ship them to his country. Then, they will ship it to his distination.
It's been 47 days since delivery date. What should i do? Would he win the ebay case?

Buyers only have 30 days from the date of delivery to open a case with eBay. They may have additional options if PayPal or a credit card was used.

Buyer is past eBay's return window of 30 days from delivery. However they can still file a claim through PayPal but they would have to pay the return shipping. Was the laptop insured?

Thanks for your replay! I think it has a USPS insurance of up to $50. The laptop is used and is worth $200.
Not sure if the usps will cover ot sense it was sent to a forwarding comapany.

They won't, you do not have the original packaging or the buyer who can bring the item to the PO if needed.

The buyer lost his coverage under the mbg when he had it reshipped

Items reshipped are not covered by the eBay return policy. The seller has no control over what happened to it while in the hands of a re shipper nor how well it was repacked. The won't win an ebay case. Harder to say what the payment service will do. Just sit tight and see what happens next.
