An item I'm looking at is listed as "for parts or not working" in the item condition but the description says the product is in working condition but can be used for parts. If the item arrives not in working condition, will eBay simply reject any NAD case I open because of the item condition listed?
Thanks.

I would contact the seller through eBay message and ask for a clarification .

In order for a seller to list an item as "used", it must be complete and fully functional. If it is missing any parts, then eBay requires it to be listed "for parts or not working".
But, as mentioned above, you might want to get clarification from the seller.

eBay's Money Back Guarantee applies to all the information in the listing. If one part of the listing says that it is operational and working, then it must work or you can file a return for "Doesn't match description or photos".
Of course, no one likes returns ... so ... again ... contact the seller for clarification before buying.

If it's listed for parts/not working, then I would assume that it is just that - a non-working item to be used for parts, regardless of what the seller says is working or not.

Personally I would avoid buying from it. My gut tells me the listing was deliberatey misleading to avoid a NAD case.

If you're already looking ahead to a possible NAD case, don't buy it.
