Not sure what to say, but certainly sucks that you are getting hit with this. eBay allowed the sale, yet the carrier found it to be counterfeit. There are numerous posts on fake stamps being sold on eBay. In the end, it is your responsibility to ensure that your sold items reach their buyers. I will source stamps from a more reputable seller, perhaps try to get your money back on that bad roll you bought. Finally, see if you can make it up to those buyers that never received their items. Too many claims against you, and eBay will say goodbye to you.
