I shipped 6 items this morning and entered the tracking numbers for each in earlier. One of them is saying that it was not uploaded and created a ding on my report. I checked and the tracking number is there and says usps in possesion of item as of 1240pm local. It was shipped a day before deadline so I am not sure how it is causing a ding other than a glitch??

Don't worry. It will probably work itself out. I had that happen several weeks ago. If it doesn't, call ebay.

Patience! The system is not on real time. You just need to relax and be patient. It will update. Heck even your post office doesn't update until into the evening many times. And Ebay pulls the info from the carriers. So the carrier has to update their system first and then Ebay gets the information when they run their updates. But remember they are NOT on real time reporting for tracking.

I understand that they are not on real time but is it not odd that 5 out of the 6 loaded? Just checked it still says its not loaded and its been 24 hours now..
It isn't odd, it happens all the time. Just give it some time, it should work out. With that said there are times when tracking doesn't get scanned as it should, so you are wise to keep an eye on it. A handful of times every year I have to contact Ebay to change what I see on my dashboard. Meaning it will say it shipped late, but the tracking clearly shows that is not the case. They don't always get it right. So a few times every year I have to call to get things fixed.
For you, it is too soon to assume that. If it isn't correct in a few days, then you may have an issue. Always remember to check the USPS website too. If you see that Ebay is not reflecting the same information, then it is an Ebay problem. But if the USPS website is not reflecting the proper information, then you have a problem with USPS and should contact them.

I t has switched to not uploaded on time now..gonna give another couple of days then I guess call ebay so I can get it fixed. I used to not pay attention to this stuff and researched all the dings I have for shipping and it looks like 4 of the 5 are wrong. lol
You should research each one by looking at the date paid and the tracking so you know when they scanned it in. Make notes, then call Ebay. They do make mistakes from time to time. I have to call about every 3 or 4 months to get something fixed. It is pretty easy as long as you gather your information, be respectful of the CSR trying to help you. Once they agree with you and tell you they will fix it, don't get impatient. It really does take about a week for the correction to show on your dashboard.
There is no need to wait any longer. You can call Ebay now, but gather your information FIRST.

Are you sure you entered the numbers correctly? I print my labels online so that the numbers populate automatically. If I had to do that manually, I'd mess them up for sure.

Their latest post doesn't say the tracking number was incorrect or invalid. They are saying it was not uploaded on time.

I figured if I entered a wrong number that it wouldn't get validated and my dashboard would reflect that by showing not uploaded on time.

If it were the wrong number [typo], then they would not show the OP that they uploaded it late. It would show it was never uploaded or was otherwise invalid.
What they are experiencing happens to me a handful of times per year. I call Ebay to get them fixed after I gather the correct information from the tracking. Ebay will fix them and get them off the report if the tracking shows they are incorrect. I don't know why they make these mistakes, but they do. And once you call, get them to agree to correct your dashboard, it takes about a week for the correction to show up.
