My International customer from Australia told me : " you are the first person that I’ve bought from that has shipped through eBay Global, usually they ship things directly themselves.".
Am I doing something wrong by using EBay Global Shipping Program. I thought, this is the only way to ship internationally. Any advise?
Is anybody knows if eBay Global puts my package in their package to ship overseas..or still using my original package?

Is anybody tried to go to post office and mail International package themselves. I want to know how hard it is.
Yes, my Australian customer got scarred when he saw his final invoice...eBay got his HUGE fee for shipping thru Ebay International Global

Thank you
Do you need to do any paperwork for International mail?
Is ebay's label includes only shipping fr your address to customer's address or any ebay fees included?

If you ship items below 4 lbs pirateship.com offers unbeatable prices (after you sign up for their simple international rate), At least 30% lower than whatever ebay can offer.
The international label is standardized, it comprises the customs declaration. After you affix it to the package, you can schedule a USPS pickup, no need to go the post office. It is extremely user friendly, they have chat help and reply to emails within 24 hours.
For example a 48 oz package worldwide with pirateship is $23.95 ebay will charge you $35.20 (that is for the regular 1st class mail).
You can very easily print the SCAN form and do host of other things.
In addition, they import your ebay orders and after you print the label, they post the tracking number to ebay.

As an international buyer I'm not a fan of the GSP for lower priced lightweight items. However, right now it is probably best to use it because not all postal systems are running at full capacity or running at all and the gsp tends to use other non post office services to most countries.
Just to note...If you print your labels online, it is not difficult or time consuming to do an international label when you are sending an item directly through USPS.

Your Australian buyer would have seen the full shipping cost when they looked at the listing so that shouldn't have been a surprise. The import fees are not always seen until a buyer goes to check out so that can be a shock but since Australia doesn't charge duty on lower cost items, that shouldn't be a shock to them either.

Shipping to and from Australia is insane no matter who you use. For large packages I only use the global shipping program, it's usually the cheapest method. But for anything small and lightweight like envelopes, I use USPS instead.
I believe the GSP is new to Australia, which would explain why he's suspicious of it.
