Is anyone having trouble with printing Standard Envelope labels?

I tried to print a label for a postcard that I sold and it is showing USPS Ground Advantage as the shipping method. It usually  automatically shows eBay Standard Envelope. Never had this problem before.... is it a glitch in the system?  Is anyone else having the same problem?

I ship all of my postcards with eBay Standard Envelope.  I double checked the listing I sold and it is correctly showing "eBay Standard Envelope"

Comes up as normal for me. You're sure the weight and dimensions didn't get put in wrong?

Double checked everything..... 7" x 5" flat envelope 1 oz

When I go to the eBay shipping the Standard Envelope option is faded out and I'm unable to use it.

The order is showing "Standard Envelope" not "Ground Advantage"

Mistakenly listed in wrong category? (I've done that)

Yeah, wt/dim and category are usually the things that will block it. If you have another order try using the bulk label tool and see if it allows ESE there. All I can think of really.

I just got off the phone with eBay CS..... it was listed in an unaccepted category..... I guess my next question is..... Why was I able to choose Standard Envelope for the shipping if it wasn't allowed for the category?  It's a still a postcard....

So if I mail it without tracking.... what is my punishment from eBay?

Inconsistency in the way the listing and shipping software are programed to see the restrictions, basically.

At worst it will be an insignificant percentage drop in seller level metrics assuming you sell things fairly consistently. If the customer says it arrived on time in FB then no effect. No different than if an ESE didn't get scanned for some reason.

Thanks so much for the info.... I decided to bite the bullet, take the loss and get over it 😣  I shipped it via Ground Select.  I just finished checking my listings to make sure everything is in "eBay approved" categories.
