Is anyone else stuck in Pre-shipment?

Hi, I shipped an item out on 12/17 but the tracking still says Pre-shipment. I was in a rush and just left it on the counter with the other packages. The buyer very nice but I'm afraid it won't arrive. Is anyone else facing this issue?

There have been continuous reports of shipping delays since the 3rd week of November.  Also reports of shipments not receiving scans until reaching the buyer's state or local USPS post office. 

Same with some UPS shipments.

Item has not been scanned by your post office for shipment - Unfortunately, since it's been 8 days I would say that it has been lost - I've had this happen only once - I dropped it off but got "lost" from there.

@tipsy2333   i have 2 usps priority pkgs scanned as accepted on 12/19, no scans since and of course my buyers opened item not rec'd cases and sellers know what will happen next

I ordered an item that's been "In Transit" for 4 days. The next sorting facility in Pittsburg is only 308 miles, or roughly a 6 hour drive. Sounds like the driver broke down and now he's on foot!🤣
