Increasing USPS shipping fees

USPS is again raising fees in January 2024. I do not have "Free Shipping" on my items. I try and charge shipping fees to match what they actually are. With USPS increase, I have to go into the majority of my items and change the shipping fee individually.  Doesn't eBay have a way to make updates to shipping fees easy?  Doing it individually is very time consuming!  And USPS is starting to update prices twice a year. The majority of items I sell are shipped using Media Mail.

If you use calculated shipping, you don't have to make any changes.

Yes; you can

bulk edit and change to 'calculated' (but you do have to note how you are shipping ie. USPS Media Mail and then the Weight and Size must be accurately shown

Bulk Edit adding a 'handling fee' as you charging the Customer 'just the shipping cost' is losing you money as ebay charges their fees on the 'shipping amount' (so if you charge $10, ebay charges you 'roughly' $1.30 so you really only get $8.70 to purchase that $10 label for...plus the cost of the box, tape, label/ink...you should be adding $4 to the 'cost' for 'handling'.

Bulk edit all shipments that have the 'same cost' and 'change the price'- all at once (on flat rate, and again, you can 'leave' it as 'label cost' (but use furthest zip code) and add some $$ to cover)

Sure: Set up your listings with calculated shipping, and they will immediately reflect any and all changes in USPS rates.

Thank you for your reply. Adding a "handling fee" seems the easiest way to handle this. But, forgive my stupidity, I can't find where to do that. Please point me to the spot where I will find this option. Thanks!

If you want to see the exact prices, here's a link to the official USPS rates publication, Notice 123.

https://pe.usps.com/resources/PriceChange/January%202024%20Price%20Change%20112223%20-%20Notice123.p...

eBay shipping labels charge the Commercial rate for Ground Advantage.  According to posters on these boards, some other postage providers (Pirateship, stamps.com) charge less for GA.

For Priority labels, eBay has been charging less than the published Commercial rate for some weight/Zone combinations.

Use calculated.  Media mail is super easy to use calculated with.

12x12x12 and 1lb, 2lb, 3lb, etc...should cover most media mail items.

Set it, and forget about it.
