In your experience do customers get mad if you squeeze clothes NWT (or even non-NWT clothes) FRE?

I feel kind of bad showing the nice pictures of the item and then picturing the customers face when they get the flat rate envelope with a rolled up version in the mail. Am I overthinking this or...? Can I get some feedback from some of you veterans out there that have been doing this for a while please? Thank you in advance.

I fold clothing items neatly, sometimes with tissue paper, and put them in a ziplock bag before slipping it into the Priority padded mailer or the first class poly mailer. You can't prevent wrinkles, but you can show the buyer that it was packaged with care.

Just do it neatly and don't ball them up.  We ship  both men's & women's denim jean in a padded FRE without issues.  And always  wrap them in a small trash bag - they slide in the envelope easily.  The envelope is well packed but the jeans are  neatly folded.

I ship all clothing I sell in a poly bag or padded envelope. But after I list a clothing item I fold it and place it in a clear poly bag and place it in one of my bins. After a sale the clear poly bag is placed into the mailer. I would never just stuff clothing into a mailer without the clear poly bag.

By the way sometimes I get returns where the buyer uses their own mailer and I have had the return just stuffed in a kraft paper padded envelope with the envelope partially sealed with my clothing item almost falling out and the clothing item all dirty from being exposed to the elements on the way back to me. That's why I use the clear sealed poly bag inside the mailer, one because it looks nice and another because it adds extra protection.

I've never had a problem and I've shipped loads of stuff in a PFRE.  I would never use the little cardboard ones, though - that's just plain bad packaging - they're usually falling apart damp and wet and I've had items ruined.  Agree with the inner poly bag - it actually makes packing the PFRE quicker and easier, and it also makes it easier for the customer to extract the item. If I really stuff it, I will write "please open with care" on it as a precaution.  I've got some beeeg stuff in the PFREs - once 1000 labels for my thermal label printer.  It weighed about 5 lb. They were fine.

No complaints here. But like others have said I put them in a plastic bag first. It shows care and it makes it easier to get them in the FRE.

Properly folding then rolling clothing is actually the best way to pack a suitcase while preventing wrinkles.

Simply folding the item and putting it in an envelope without a snug fit might actually cause shifting and then wrinkles.

So in my personal experience, I don't mind folded+rolled in a snug envelope. I always launder clothing after receiving it therefore washing out any wrinkles anyway.

As long as its not balled up and shoved in a paper krafte mailer with no protection... yikes...
I had a buyer request paper pkging last wk, said she was trying to cut down on plastic use.
I did it bcuz she requested it. but normally i would use a plastic bag (folded item) and inside plastic mailer- because pkgs can be exposed to water snow and rain & then its a real nightmare. Im sorry if the plastic offends people.! It protects the items!

I usually put them in one of the Priority poly bags before I put it in a PFRE. (That's okay right? Because I'm already shipping Priority?) It actually makes it easier to get into the PFRE that way. I always put something in a poly bag (clear) before I put it in an envelope because that protects it from the elements.

I reuse the plastic bags, anyway.  There's always something in my inventory that needs to be stored away, the cat box needs to be cleaned, etc.  Nothing goes to waste here.

Agree with snug packing - it actually prevents excess wrinkling. I put a small square of tissue paper in the middle of the item to soften any wrinkling, as well (also it makes it faster and easier to fold), protect fabric from buttons, zippers, etc.

Are you aware of the loss you will be taking on some of your items sending them Flat Rate Envelope? And that would have be nothing on the actual item. The heavier jeans and such could potentially go FRE ... but those Hurley shorts ... they are like a few ounces.

Are you against FCP?

And why the desperation to sell at aforementioned loss. I don't make a lot of profit but who comes here to purposefully lose?

I just looked at their listings, seems like they dont want to make much of a profit. The one item they sold for 8.99 I have sold several times for $25.
