INR/Tracking - Field Already Filled In

I had an INR opened today. The tracking shows it was delivered. I have not gotten one of these in almost a year. The field for the tracking number is already filled in and I cannot change it. I just want to make sure I do not need to add it separately. I do not think I've had an INR where the tracking is already filled in. Thanks.

If the tracking number is accurate you just press save.

It will add the tracking to the case and update that you updated tracking details.

You only add additional if the tracking number is different.

To the best of my knowledge, if your buyer opened an INR case, and there is tracking that shows otherwise, you need to actually add that # to the case.

@soh.maryl  Thanks. I went ahead and added it as an additional tracking number. It has been a while since I've had one of these, but I don't recall the box already being pre-filled in. I remember the box being empty and I could upload it into that box.

It's my understanding that you should be fine as long as the prefilled tracking number is the same one you shipped the item with.

Yes... just click the Save and Continue button showing in that screenshot. There is no need to enter the very same number all over again but you do need to confirm (by clicking the Save button) that the tracking number shown is the correct one for that shipment.

I feel like it's been that way for some time now and it always confuses me when these topics come up and everyone tells the poster to "enter the tracking"... No, it's already there, just push the button.

I do use the comment section to put "tracking shows delivered" or the latest status if it's still out there. I believe the buyer sees those.

I did not even have a comment box this time. This is definitely the first time I've had a tracking number pre-filled and no comment box.

And I might block the buyer at some point and hope for no dispute with a buyer's credit card.
