So for the last several months, when I go to list an item that weighs between 15-16 ounces, Ebay sends me a message saying invalid value provided for weight minor, enter a value between 0-15 ounces. I don't know if things have changed or not, but I've seen issues with the first class shipping and that weight class, but this WON'T EVEN allow me to put in 16 ounces for Priority or Parcel Select..makes me put in 1-2 pounds instead in order to ship and that's a big difference. Doesn't matter which browser I use, either..I tried Google and Edge..same message.
Anyone else having this issue and what did you do to resolve it? Thank you!

You have to enter 1 under pounds, 16oz = 1 lb, and the ounce input box only accepts 1-15.

Just enter 15 ounces. The postage cost is the same.

disclaimer...I don't use USPS but can't you just use 'custom weight' and enter 1 pound? I just noticed there is also a 1 lb and less option.

And to add to this.
In my experience, the problem only occurs when listing
When it comes time to print a label, 16 ounces can be entered for 1st Class, and will print as 15.9 on the label.
If shipping Priority enter as #'s or ounces.

Nope, I can't. When adding the shipping weight it says 1 pound or less and then the next box I have to fill out is in ounces only. I put in 16 ounces because it is exactly 1 pound and it gives me the same message...invalid weight minor.

Ok, I will try and see what happens if I sell the item. I just don't understand why when shipping Priority you can't just put in 16 ounces.

There is no place to put in 1 pound..when I click on 1 pound and under, the next box to fill in is for ounces only and it will not take 16 ounces, not even for PRIORITY shipping. 😞

That's because eBay and the ComPls rate USPS allow 15.9oz shipments for first class.
If it's 1lb, just enter it in Custom Weight, then 1lb, 0 oz, because 1lb is 16oz.

I think it is an eBay thing with one of the recent changes. Time was we could enter 16 ounces when listing an item, but that option went away.
I sell a few items that fall into that last 4 ounce range for 1st Class, and generally would just put 16 ounces in. As nobodys* posted, the rate is the same for 15 ounce, but to cover the odd chance that if I packed a little different, someone newly hired, (saw it happen) might think that postage was due if I went over 13, 14, or 15 ounces. I just often go with the 16.
I ran into it when relisting, and doing a "sell similar". The 16 was there before, but would no longer work.

Try putting in 1 pound 0 ounces. If it won't take that put in 1 pound and something in the ounces it doesn't matter what as the postage won't change until you reach 2 pounds.

Now wait a minute--you guys are messing with my head. If I input 1 pound priority, I will get a price for up to and including 1 pound. If I put in 1 pound 1 ounce, then I would be charged for 2 pounds priority. right?

lja must have not had her coffee yet this morning. Yes, te price jumps to the 2-pound rate when you enter 1 pound 1 ounce. Or ship First Class to save yourself some money and aggravation; is there some reason you're set on using Priority?

Thanks, I wondered which of us was the most coffee deprived.😁
Yes, I also wondered why the OP wanted their 16 oz item to go priority, rather than 1st class---maybe for the insurance.

LOL sorry you are right but it was doing too many things at once. Posting, pricing records with my phone and putting a big lot of CD's on iTunes so I could put them on my iPod classic (too bumpy and dusty to play CD's on my mail route). LOL its a good thing I didn't have something on the stove too.
