How to turn off buyer notifications when I print a label

Is there a way to turn off ebay message notifications and emails sent to buyers whenever you purchase a shipping label? I want to practice printing Fedex labels on this Zebra LP2844 printer I just got and want to use a customer that I just recently shipped a package to as a guinea pig before the 24 hour window to reprint a label is up. I do not want them to keep getting notifications thought. If anyone knows of a way that I can practice printing sample/prevoided Fedex labels through Ebay other than doing this I'd appreciate it. I believe there used to be a "Printer and label preferences" link on the print shipping labels page which allowed you to print a sample label but don't see it anymore.

Nope.

It sounds like you may be confusing reprint with print another label. You can use your 5 reprints (in 24 hours max) of an already purchased label for testing without it sending the buyer an email, but that doesn't allow fiddling with format, so is probably useless.

Printing another label has no time limit, and allows you to try other formats if that is your intention, but adds a new tracking number to the sale, sends the buyer an email, and creates a bit of a mess.

eBay doesn't provide an testing method I'm aware of.

Only thing I can think of is to sell something to a friend family member, or other account you control, do your testing, and cancel the transaction later. (FedEx labels are not billed unless used, and you can probably avoid any seller metrics dings if you tread carefully.)

No actual test prints, but just save the label PDF to a file.  Then use that file to open and play with printer settings.  Of course make sure you open the file the same way as when actually printing from ebay/PayPal, which is best done using Adobe.
