I have always had the option (and always selected) to NOT include international shipping. Now eBay has apparently forced me to allow the option if if goes through the international shipping hub. Obviously I was unaware of this change as I did not initiate it myself and was surprised when I had to ship internationally. And to a buyer with ONE positive feedback. What could possibly go wrong?? I cannot find an option on either a mobile device or a desktop to change it. Has anyone else figured this out? Your help is appreciated!

I am not sure if there is an easier way...but for sure
you should be able to
"opt out" of Automatic International Shipping here:
top line
Also, you can make a shipping policy to exclude all but the Continental US if you are desperate.....

You are a genius! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! It said "before you go . . ." that these sales are protected against negative/neutral feedback and chargebacks, so maybe I'll let this one be the trial run. If it fails, I know what to do! Thanks again for your time and effort and have a wonderful weekend!!

Thank you. I have just fixed all of my listings.
I never had the problem as I have never shipped anything overseas directly. I understand e-bay handles that part. But one question. What happens if the buyer files a NAD complaint? Who pays the international shipping cost's that E-bay originally takes care of? I ask because I originally blocked all international shipments before e-bay changed without my knowledge.
Thanks.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for including that link. Much like OP, I do not ship internationally. I used to on occasion, a long time ago, and it was always a disaster. I now have all my shipping preferences set to US only. Much to my surprise, when I went to create a new listing today I saw that as I was putting the weight of the item it said, "eBay International Shipping: Your listing will show up for buyers worldwide". I'm sorry, WHAT? I'm a decently high volume seller and list items nearly every day, so I know that was not there yesterday. I googled how to get out of this, found this forum and your submission (again, thank you very much), and yep, I was somehow enrolled in this program despite the fact that I remember opting out of it forever ago. Very uncool that they're trying to unknowingly force sellers to ship internationally without their consent.

You may have perhaps opted out of a program "forever ago", but that does not apply to the "new" EIS program for international shipping.
We will all be automatically enrolled and must opt out if we do not want to ship to the hub, and have eBay be fully responsible beyond that point.
I have not opted out, but have all countries blocked in my seller preferences, so even though it shows "international" shipping when I do a listing eBay will still honor my exclusions.

RE: It said "before you go . . ." that these sales are protected against negative/neutral feedback and chargebacks,
I just got negative feedback from an international buyer. My first negative feedback in 10 years of selling. So this is definitely not true.

I loved GSP...but I opted out of International Shipping. It was easy to do

I think what eBay meant is that as far as the shipping aspect you are protected against negative/neutral feedback. In other words is there is a problem with the shipping after eBay has accepted the package at their facility then you are protected against negative/neutral feedback for the shipping.
eBay does not know if you made a fair assessment of the item in your listing and often times a person will not know until they receive the item if the description was accurate. In this respect you are not protected against a negative/neutral feedback.
