How to send pdf of my own label?

How do I send a good quality label to the buyer for a return?

I accepted a return and want the buyer to use a label I provide with insurance.

In the return details I can only upload a jpg of the label, not a pdf. The buyer says the resulting label cannot be scanned. Too blurry.

I don't have buyers email. What to do?

How is anyone else uploading a clear jpg of labels?

Thank you.

Re: How to send pdf of my own label?

After you Accept the return @mycheaperstuff, the next step is to have eBay issue the return label, or upload your own return label in JPG, PNG, or PDF format.

Upload your own label PDF.png

You can also use eBay Messages to send an image up to 1600 pixels on its longest side as a JPG or PNG (which eBay converts to JPG) which is plenty resolution for a barcode. Perhaps include instructions how to size the label image on a page.

And if you click the dropdown to the left of the item in your Solds, you'll see your buyer's email address, to send your PDF as an attachment.

it depends on your equipment... if your using PC/Laptop I can tell you easiest way, if your using Cellphone App...i can't help there:

When you purchase a label on ebay and select "Purchase and Print", the label to print will open in a new window, on the top right side the first dropdown menu where you select your printer, change that, select "Save as PDF"

PDF.jpg

Re: How to send pdf of my own label?

Thank you, @dede394 . Well, that was VERY helpful:

First off, I didn't know you could upload a pdf.

Second, I didn't know you could get the email address that way.

Third, if I were to provide instructions about sizing the label, are you saying to tell them to make the image "1600 pixels on its longest side "?

Re: How to send pdf of my own label?

Thank you, @nuclearomen . That was VERY helpful.

I don't use the phone app for labels either. So you were spot on.

Great instructions. I especially liked the screen print.

I had been able to make a pdf of my labels by using download instead of print.

But to send the label, I'd used GIMP, a photo/image processor, to create a JPG.
I'm not sure whether the distortion the buyer noted was created in making the JPG or by the buyer's printing process.

With your help, if (ha, when) I have to do this again, it won't be so daunting!

i don't understand a few things... first, why do you need to send the PDF as a JPG image? Especially you said JPG image was too blurry. Why wouldn't you just send them the PDF file? They can print the label right from that. Second why do you need their email address? You can send them them file right through ebay, either via method @dede394 told you or via their username in messages, there is link to attach file. Third, they can resize the label (or anything they are printing) via the print window I posted before. Click the "More Settings" on the bottom, it will expand and there is option "Scale" you can adjust the size there.

If they only needed a JPG of the label, you would do that by entering the label you need to print, select "Print Screen" on your keyboard, open your image program on your PC, I'm assuming your don't have Adobe or anything but Microsoft comes with it's own program called "Paint" you can past the image into that and then save as JPG file.

I wouldn't communicate with anyone on ebay outside of ebay, so using the buyers personnel email isn't needed, use the messages center on your account instead... also ebay can see every message you sent or receive and sometimes that is helpful if you have an issue with a buyer and need Ebay CS assistance.
