Hello, I’m new to eBay selling and have received an offer for one of my listings. After some negotiating, the buyer who’s made the offer has messaged me regarding splitting the shipping cost. I am unsure how I would go and find how to do this. I’d appreciate advice on how to do so and why someone would want to do that. Thank you.

Shipping cost is not supposed to be part of the Best Offer negotiation. Figure out the shipping cost to this buyer's location, then divide it in half, and send the buyer a counteroffer that still has the original shipping cost, but has the price reduced by half of that amount. This is why I always just have Free shipping on my "Best offer " listings.

I agree with @nobody*s_perfect . Counter offer with the item price less half your shipping cost listed. The s&h are not part of the offer.
