Hello there.
years ago, when I contacted eBay customer support I actually ended up with someone in the San Francisco Bay area who I could understand and who understood me. It seems now whenever I contact eBay support I get an offshore third-party organization that addresses me with lots of platitudes, but is very slow to understand/ respond satisfactorally. in most cases, I can slog through it and ultimately get the information needed. However, not this time. I have an issue with trying to file a ship cover insurance claim. The third-party agent, I spoke to said again, and again that they were appealing to buying teams decision. There was no decision. And I do not dispute the buyers claim that item arrived damaged. And have already refunded him. I know the information I just received from 3rd party offshore support agent was incorrect. I would really like to talk to a team member with English as first language and ultimately based in US. Can a community member provide me some guidance on how to make that happen?
thank you!

Hey @grogerv1980 . If your issue is with a ShipCover claim, you're better off contacting ShipCover directly.
You can find their contact info here: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/shipcover/shipping-insurance-shipcover?id=4643#section2

Hello - To file a ShipCover claim, go to your shipping labels section. Locate your shipment in the list and click on actions, then create a claim. Feel free to contact us via phone, email or chat. Thank you!

would still like an answer to my original question. How to I reach a US based (an actual employee - not contracted 3rd party) eBay customer support agent. I have done both above. I promise you the responses have been nonsensical from eBay phone support (telling me all kinds of info I haven't requested, addressing me as "Sir Eric" and thanking for my 19 years of support - all nice but not coming close to understanding the question)
AND shipcover number is just music on hold
