How to get a USPS tracking # once Fed Ex hands it over to USPS

I purchased an item on Dec. 6, on Dec 10 Federal Express handed it over to USPS. When I input the FEDX tracking #, it does not provide a USPS tracking #.

Package was handed over to USPS on Dec. 10 and I find it odd that it hasn't been delivered yet.

Yep. I track my SmartPost shipments using the USPS tracking number from day one until delivery. It's the number automatically entered on eBay and tracks on eBay, tracks at FedEx.com, and tracks at USPS.com (nothing shows at USPS until FedEx hands it off and transmits the info to USPS).

Once delivered, the FedEx tracking (using that same USPS number) updates to show delivery (by USPS).

This explains why fedex butchered my last 2 deliveries-one was smashed and damaged, the other broke open and lost parts. Incompetence seems to be the rule now.
