I'm a first time seller. This shipping is SUPER confusing. I have to buy a label even though the buyer paid shipping? I sold it for $15, and will end up getting $8? This is very confusing. Someone please help me understand what's going on with this.

The buyer paid you to ship the item.
You use that money to pay the carrier to deliver the item.

The buyer paid the following:
$15 for the item
$1.38 in sales tax
$10 in shipping per your listing.
The buyer paid a total of $26.38
For your take home total without accounting for the cost of the item:
Deduct $1.38 for the sales tax that ebay pays to the appropriate state
Deduct $6.16 for the shipping label that you must purchase as the seller & shipper (don't forget, the buyer already paid you $10 for the shipping.....now, you must pay one of the couriers for their services)
Deduct $3.80 in ebay fees for the transaction.
Your take home for the auction is $26.38 -$1.38-$6.16-$3.80 = $15.04

In your first screenshot it states THE BUYER PAID YOU $10.00 for shipping.
Now you need to pay the shipping carrier and get the label to ship.

You take the funds the buyer already paid for shipping and buy the label, maybe make a few dimes , maybe lose some BUT you purchase the label from the funds the buyer PAID you

Buyer pays eBay item + shipping + sales tax.
eBay takes selling fees on that total amount.
eBay remits sales tax to buyer's state.
eBay sends the balance item + shipping (less fees) to the seller.
Seller uses the funds to buy a shipping label.
eBay gave you the buyer's shipping money after taking out their fees so you can use it to purchase the label. View your transaction details here:
