The seller sent me a clear counterfeit and I'd like to return it, but the seller has a 10% restocking fee on their listings. If this was a case of me not liking the item, I'd be fine paying the fee, but as it's a counterfeit I think I should be exempt. Is there a certain way I should submit the return to ensure that I don't get hit with that restocking fee? I thought you used to be able to open an 'item not as described' case, but the workflow seems to have changed a lot since the last time I opened a case.

It is best to just do an item not as described case. IF You put down contefeit then eBay will make You PROVE it is conterfeit. So, You would have to get a verified statement from someone who does values ( like homeowners insurance policies) saying FOR sure it is a conterfeit. You would have to pay to do that so it is not worth it.
The results are the same anyway. The Seller/eBay will have to send out a label for You and You will return it, and then get credited for the original shipping and the original price. The Seller can Only charge a restocking fee on Items that You changed Your mind on. So, If You are unhappy file a case on her. ; ) pam
