How do I change Tracking Information on Return????

I bought an item and it arrived with a crack in it. I started a return because the item had a 30 return policy. I tried using the eBay return label, but the bar code didn't work at the post office. I purchased my own label, sent the seller the return tracking information, and 2 days later (today) tracking shows the seller received it. I've contacted the seller multiple times today and they won't respond. I'm needing the money back quickly, so I need to edit the return tracking number from the one eBay sent me (that didn't work) to the one that shows I sent the item back to him. Please help me! I'm really needing the money!!!

For future reference, the label eBay sent you would have worked. It was a First Class Return Service label which the PO will deliver and charge eBay for whatever postage was due. eBay then gets it back from the seller. Trick is to just drop it off in the outgoing package bin at the post office and run. Many PO employees don't understand the process.

Rather than wait until daytime @hotcards4less, send your return tracking number in a private message to eBay at Facebook  or Twitter with your name, email, and zip code.

You should be able to update the tracking number in the return case.

How do you do that??? I've looked everywhere. I think the problem is that it thinks I'm going to use the Ebay tracking number and just haven't yet.

Go to the resolution center below and check the case details.

It's been a long time since I returned anything so I don't know exactly where you update the tracking, but it should be in the case details somewhere.

First of all, thank you guys so much for your responses. You've been the only helpful part of this whole process. 

So I finally got a call back hours later from Ebay. I told him the tracking info and he said he's given it to a "specialist" and they will send an email immediately saying they received the correct tracking info. However, that did not happen. I have contacted the buyer by phone, email, Ebay messaging, and Facebook messaging and still have not gotten a response. Yet I made him a "best offer" on one of his products and he replied with a counter offer..... I'm really getting worried that the seller is going to try to keep both the item and the money I paid for the item. I'm also afraid that eBay is going to allow him to get away with it. I've tried everything to update the tracking info and can't find anyway to do it. The item was very expensive and I do not have a lot of money. In fact, some unexpected expenses have came up in my personal life and I'm needing that money as a necessity. Please help if you guys can. Thanks again for all yalls help!

Is there a way to void the Ebay label so I can put in the correct label??? I'm not sure if you were able to read my response a few minutes ago, but the seller is responding to my best offers, but won't reply to my Ebay messages/calls/emails/Facebook messages. Thanks so much for all your help
