How do I buy a return label from PP or USPS to send to a buyer?

Hoping somone can help me as I cannot get USPS or Paypal on the phone.

USPS lost a package of mine for 2 weeks, buyer (not this platform, hence my question) reversed the entire order thinking it was lost and other platform refunded her in full.

3 days later she gets the package. She no longer wants it as she bought replacements from another seller so she has all her money and my expensive package of product.

She will send the package back if I send her a return label. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get this done.

I bought the label on Paypal, it shipped USPS. I have to pay in full for the label since they still delivered in their 30 day window but I can find no place on USPS or Paypal to buy a new label and send it to my buyer so she can return it.

Anyone? I'm brain dead this week, getting over a heavy cold virus.

How do I buy a return label on Pay Pal or USPS that is sent to this buyer? Thanks!

How would you send a label to someone to send you a package? Say someone wants to send me something but they can't pay for a label. How do I buy and send them electronically a USPS label they can put on package and give to their mail carrier.

BTW OP I am pretty sure I know the other avenue you are selling on.  If you purchase a label via the USPS site, there is literally a button to click on immediately after your purchase the label to save as a PDF and attach it into the message for your buyer to return.  It is super easy.

"Buyer loses their Buyer Protection if they refuse delivery."

The OP specifically said that this is not an eBay transaction.

This was perfect advice.  You can buy the shipping needed.

Thank you everyone, you have been wonderful!

Alas, my buyer is rogue. She now claims she threw my expensive package into a parcel locker somewhere in San Diego on her way to the airport.

Other site (M) returned her money in full and I ran my own USPS label. Package was delivered to her, so USPS says tough luck. Buyer has turned nasty and unresposive, saying the package was not her problem. She has her money in full and an expensive package of items.

Tracking doesn't show package as back in the system, not sure it would since she accepted?

I don't believe I have any recourse now with M or USPS, theiving buyer wins the lottery. Struggling seller loses, again.

I no longer know what to, it had to be one of my biggest sales in the last few months too. I needed it, badly. People make me sad so often these days.

I fear you are correct.  I don't know why any site forced you to refund before the package was returned to you.  Or did you refund voluntarily?

Either way, you are just out the product and the money.  The only recourse you would have is to report her for mail fraud with your local PO.  It is a federal crime to use USPS in any part to defraud a person or company.  Which is what happened here.

Contact their support, tell them that the buyer received the package after they were refunded. Show them the tracking and any messages from the buyer. They should credit the money back to your account.  I sell there too, so far **knock on wood** never any problems.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

The package looked lost as tracking had stopped moving anywhere. I called USPS and they told me it wasn't lost, probably sitting somewhere in a distribution center (which is what ultimately happened, USPS routed it wrong and it sat in LA LA Land for 10 days). They also told me THEY had 30 days to get her the package, so I couldn't claim it as lost, yet.

I told buyer it was just held up but buyer freaked out anyway and wanted her money back, contacted M who refunded her in full and emailed me a form letter that basically said, "Sorry seller, your package (I did not use their label, ran a USPS one which was cheaper) appears to have been lost in the mail and we have refunded your buyer in full. Please contact the carrier you used, blah, blah, we are not responsible".

I think on the same day next (less than 24 hours) package was back in system and delivered to her. She says she refused it and threw it in some parcel locker on the way to the San Diego airport as it wasn't her problem anymore and she had already bought the same items from another seller. She got nasty and stopped communicating saying it wasn't her issue to get my package back to me. She looks to be about 20 BTW, very young and was sweet as sugared honey syrup chocolate cookies you're my best friend (you get it, as we bundled many items together and I also gave her a huge discount), then she turned Miss Attitude as soon as her money was returned.

In other words, she probably kept it. I think it's a slim chance she did put it a parcel locker and never told me until I asked? I ran the tracking number, if she marked it return and dumped it in a locker, does anyone know if that tracking number picks back up again? On my end it says delivered.

How can I possibly prove this kid took my package? USPS says delivered. M says not our problem. Not sure how I can get USPS involved, it's gone, she wins and learns a bad lesson.

Thanks southern*sweet*tea 🙂 I will try that too, but it's my word against her's unless there is some way to see if she actually did leave it somewhere marked returned. USPS was so nasty to me when I called them, I got attitude from them, attitude from her, and I did nothing wrong and put some great freebies in her box for the holidays. I was so kind to her.

I'm not well, in bed home alone at the holidays, makes this kind of thing really sting, especially when I went out of my way to help her out. People just make me sad so much these days 😞 She can afford it judging by her spending and spending and spending, I cannot.

Want to bet she is oozing how joyful and loving the holidays are, maybe giving my expensive Jade pieces to her friends who are marveling at her generosity and kindness. Holidays are probably just another reason to get/buy/receive/spend money on 'stuff' to her.
