When I print out a shipping label the weight of package appears as well as postage charge. How can I delete that information from the shipping label?
Thank you.

there is a setting that hides the amount you have paid. we used to call it stealth postage, for nosy buyers
its on the shipping page
I do not think you can hide the weight

What are you trying to hide?

Why would you want to do this?

Many sellers charge buyers the retail postage cost and then purchase postage online, so the difference serves as an automatic handling fee. Some buyers believe that a seller is not entitled to charge a handling fee and will get upset when they see the lower online postage amount printed on the label. Using "stealth" postage avoids this potential argument.

the reason that many sellers hide the postage is that its none of the buyers business what the postage costs

Understood. Mine never show $$$. But the weight too? Didn't think that was possible.

1tuna,
Why is it nosy for a buyer to see how much the shipping was. I’ve never had a problem with a buyer questioning the postage cost. Whatever happen to transparency these days?

Agreed. Shipped 4 or 5 thousand across venues over the years. Labels never show cost. Never had a buyer question my shipping charges with Free Shipping or Calculated. Buyer already knows what the shipping will cost before they buy.
The buyer does not need to see my cost. The only thing that could possibly do is raise some sort of questions I don't need to be bothered with.

I'm really curious why you'd want to hide the weight (something that cannot be done, BTW).

Maybe because the buyer could then go to the USPS site and determine exactly what the shipping fee should be?

Just sharpie over the cost. It's not a vital thing that USPS needs to deliver your package.

As for the weight, though, it provides quick proof to anyone further down the line that the seller has paid the correct postage for that weight, which hopefully corresponds to whatever the package actually weighs.
