Another question for the pros , I made a label wanting to ship my product with a gift box , but I’m shipping ground advantage and the mailer I was going to use that fit it is flat rate luckily I looked up to see if you could do that , so my weight is off by about 3 ounces is that a problem? I’m changing packaging and the buyer knows weight of actual product *

If you are saying you are planning on putting a Ground Advantage label on the Priority Flat Rate box then you will be charged for Priority shipping.

Yeah shipping ground advantage using priority flat rate packaging is a no no. If you are 3 ounces over, it's highly likely that someone will have to pay it.
Better to void the label, print a new one, and wait for your label refund which can take several weeks.

I am confused by what it is you are trying to accomplish. But, I will still try to help.
I am sure about this:
>> The paid postage for your label must be correct for the total weight of your package.
If the additional 3 oz. moves the total weight into the next postage tier, cancel the original label for a postage refund. It may take several weeks for USPS to process the refund.
Then, purchase a second label with the correct postage.

Track and manage your shipments
Use the drop down then select cancel label
It doesn't matter but either way, it's best to notify your buyer as the presence of two tracking numbers may confuse them.

I weighed my product in a gift box thinking I could ship it in a flat rate mailer because that’s what it would fit in not my small 5x7 regular mailer turns out I can’t , so I’m no longer going to send the gift box (which I didn’t tell the customer I was adding in) but that takes away from the weight

And I printed the label before realizing

are you saying a "ground advantage" label on a "Priority" box?
That will be charged "Priority" shipping if they even accept it.
