Hello,
I had very bad purchase experience. I trusted ebay is my guarantee for unknown sellers but now I am in very specific situation in which I dont know what to do.I have 3 cases all with Chinese sellers and really need help asap.
Please help:
1. first case - didnt want to pay shipping- accepted the return, pay half the cost and started to negotiate to keep the item and pay some other small amount, shipping period ends and I still cannot resolve the case but dont want to pay on my own. They then offered to not ship and pay some ridiculous compensation and refunded to an item that still didnt come, again ordered from them.Now, if there is issue with the other item or I dont receive, I will not take my money back as there is already refund for the other item.How can I proceed?
2.second case- Another chinese seller- same scenario.They sent faux leather instead of genuine, gain mistake.
I was offered partial refund and asked to close the return.I closed the return.No refund.Now I cannot open the return again.No refund also.
3.third case- I opened return, reason is the same.Seller- again chinese seller selling faux instead of genuine leather.I paid item for 355 usd for genuine leather coat and I receive faux leather cheap coat for 40 usd.They say sorry we sent wrong item and accept my return but doesnt want to pay shipping.
I am going to negotiation to be refunded partialy but the amount is big and I litteraly get nothing.
Meanwhile the accept the return without printing shipping label as they state they cannot and continue negotiations.
I have deadline to return and dont know how to proceed.
Its like whatever I do I loose money again.
On top of all most post services refuse to carry goods to China and also Chinese seller said they doubt if they will receive at all.

Your seller knows that @vladimiravid, and has stalled you in the return request, with a deadline to return the item at your own expense.
Because eBay has proven unable to provide customer service on its own website, contact eBay using social disease to escalate your return request.
Be sure to include your eBay ID, full name, email address, postal code, and case number in your private message to eBay.
eBay will put your case on hold for 5 days to allow the seller to outright refund no return needed, or send you cash to buy a return label. If the seller does neither, eBay will force a refund no return needed. And your seller will have earned a deadly Case closed without seller resolution defect.

First of all never close a case at the seller's request. It is a trick to keep you from returning your item. Once you close a case in the ebay resolution center, you cannot re-open it. Your only recourse here is to open a a significantly not as described case in Paypal. If you open a case in Paypal, you will need to pay the return shipping.
The third case you can escalate to ebay and seller should send money in your account for returning the item.
You are finding out what many ebay buyers already know from their own experiences. If it looks to goo to be true ot probably is...

Never close the return, message them in the case details the amount you need via Paypal for tracked return shipping, they cannot send you a label, if no reply or money is sent escalate, you will be refunded and keep the item.
This scenario is good for case 3.
The other 2 cases you will have to go Via Paypal as you closed out the cases but you will be responsible for the return shipping.
So.
Never close a return when asked to.
Never Buy Garbage from China.

The problem is that they accept the request for wrong item sent and then say no shipping label is available.
After that they start to offer small partial refund and postpone replying on purpose.they dont want to pay the shippment cost and in the end its time to send the item back or close the return.
On ebay policy its written that I can ask ebay to step in but there is no available option on the menu.
If I send the item back I should pay the shipping cost and they may not take it in China or give wrong address.
And now with this coronavirus its almost impossible to send anything to China.
If I dont send back I need to close the return.
What can I do, any ideas?
And yes, I will not buy anything from China, anymore.
I doubt "cheating" is part of their education...

Call eBay on the phone and tell them that the seller is refusing to send you money for the return. Eventually eBay will close the return in your favor and give you your money back. You need to call them.

If the widget is cheap enough and it's not worth returning, it can be re-sold to people in the U.S. who will gladly buy it because item location and the seller is in the U.S. It all depends upon what the item is.
