Help! Seized by Law Enforcement for Counterfeit Postage

Hi, I have run into another problem since my 20 years on ebay again.  I don't know what to do or where to go. Post office is not being helpful, they said they can't give me any more info. 

My customer informs me that his package has been "seized". I go and check the tracking number and it says

"Seized by Law Enforcement for Counterfeit Postage". 

On the tracking number page it says "Your item has been seized by Law Enforcement due to counterfeit postage. Please contact the merchant or seller to request a refund."

I buy all my shipping on ebay. I just print out my label and just paste it on and drop it off at my local USPS bulk mail like I have been doing for years. I have shipped probably a hundred of these items.

I have checked the weight and it is below what I stated when I print the label. So I am good on that. I have not modified the label or anything. 

I dont break law, follow what a good ebayer seller should do.

But this is so wrong, how can they just take my item? Claim I did something illegal? Make me lose a sale? I  probably lost this customer for life. I am pretty this is making my business look bad. I did nothing wrong.

What should I do at this point? There should be some recourse for the postal office for doing this!

I thought this thread would be about the sellers using some stamps s/he bought from one of the unending listings for counterfeit US stamps being sold here on ebay.   Sometimes all the promotional ads on the page are for counterfeit coil flag stamps.  There is no reason for there to be 100's of listings for rolls of coil stamps at half price.

Agreed.... For all the bogus stamps out there you hardly ever hear about them actually being intercepted in use.

Would love to know what happened in the OPs case. Sounds like it resolved itself, but, what actually happened?

Every now and then there will be a thread loaded with building suspense, only to end with.... Crickets. Some of these would also be helpful to other members if its a common mistake that can affect others. Maybe the OP can fill us in on the rest o' the story?

Interesting that a "seized" package would suddenly be delivered.  Either they found an employee with their hands in the cookie jar or their system generated incorrect tracking entries.  Both are not particularly flattering so I'm sure they'd like this to quietly disappear.

WOW just when you thought it could not get worse.....I would have to think this should become an issue between ebay and USPS, since ebay generated the label and information on it to be printed out and pasted on the parcel, as long as the label information was not altered by you. If it truly is a case of counterfeit postage it is something ebay should be looking into as you only followed their instructions(ebays), As others have said I would document each step of the transaction, even where ebay charged you for the postage. Do not waste your time with contacting your delivering branch, go directly to the Postmaster Generals attention when filing a complaint in Wash DC and provide them the same evidence as you provided to ebay customer service, which when you contact them ask immediately to be transferred to security & trust rather than explaining it to the next 4 or 5 phone answerers, and document times and names of whom you spoke to to basically CYA.  Please let us all know as this unfolds..also provide as much info as safely possible to your buyer so they understand it is NOT something you caused to happen. How long till they delivered it? It says that message on my dhgate package

 I purchased an item on ebay and today ebay notified me that the seller shipped my item around 2pm. So right now I just tried tracking it on the USPS website (9:15pm) and I got this message.

I asked the seller to double check the tracking number and he forwarded pictures of the item being shipped on ebay, same thing I can see on my end. 

Anyone else run into this before?
