When trying to purchase a return label through eBay for a package that weighs 3 oz. and was shipped first class mail to my buyer at a cost of 3.09 , eBay is charging 19.10! Customer service has confirmed that their shipping dept. has confirmed another glitch in the system and is only supplying sellers w/ priority labels. The only solution is to purchase a label from the carrier site such as USPS or go to pirate ship ( same prices as eBay!) and send it to your buyer.
I just spent 1 hr. on hold w/ cs to get an answer to why a 3 oz, first class package return would cost me 19.10.

I reported this same thing yesterday! I was on chat for an hour with three different ebay staff members trying to pass the buck! Some returns are AUTO-APPROVED and this is excessive. They tried to charge me $19.10 for one 1oz ring return label! The entire order was only $19 itself!!!! See my attached screen shots.

What a horrible "glitch" to have happen. How convenient and only in the eBay world would a 1 oz or 3 oz item adjust to a $19.00 shipping charge. SMH.... I hope this will be brought up at the weekly posts that eBay does on here. I always seem to miss them or I would bring it up myself. Hopefully someone who regularly attends will spot this....

i have encounter same issue many times, reported three times in one month, but there is no update , carrier is pulling money out from my account and ebay is doing nothing !!!!! i would see one or two month if this problem not fixed then i will switch to some other online platform, that is reason i do not depend on one platform.
also ebay charged me for international fee even i do not offer international fee, every month ebay is charging me , despite i reported many times but there is no solution. very disappointment how ebay handle the sellers.i been told by one cs that its cost of business !!!!!! this was answer why i get international shipping charges , i never ship international on ebay.

Have you seen these posts?
Do you know if there is a solution?
Thanx!
WOW!! No missed this one! That's not good at all.
The only solution I can think of is to have sellers start using RMA#'s, That would stop the automatic issuing of a label then the seller can choose to supply their own return shipping label.
Returns for shipping sellers tells you how to provide your own shipping label:
I am trying to remember how to set up the RMA # requirement so it doesn't go to auto-approved. My brain is foggy today.
