Just an FYI, a major USPS distribution center is buried in back-logged shipments. If you're shipping to, from or through the Oak Creek distribution center in Milwaukee, WI, then you may wish to inform your buyers of the impending delay.

There are always a number of issues with USPS and they update the boards daily.

So many packages with tracking....which was expected.
Most of my items shipped are inexpensive and have no tracking and get coast to coast in 3-4 days. Lucky me. Plus I get "repeat buyers" with fast shipping service. "Repeat Buyers" are usually always honest.

Hmm, just checked your link. The Oak Creek center was left off the list.

I just had a package go through there this week. They received it on the 15th (Friday), and it was out of there on the 18th (Monday). A report based on the testimony of whiney customers. I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in that one.

Actually, I ship through there daily. I currently have about 12-packages delayed, some that arrived at the center on Dec 6th. This is why I discovered the local report.

The youtube link you posted was 5 days ago. The USPS site should have the latest information although they may miss a few issues after all there are just over 31,000 post offices in the US.

And how is this different from any other USPS Distribution Center?

Are you sure they're delayed there, though? A lot of times stuff goes through my local sort facility with nothing more than an "Arrived at X" scan and never gets a "Departed" scan even though it has in fact left the facility.

Good Question! How about Chicago?

Uhm..yes. Tracking from the USPS website will show where its at as well as "Delayed". Do you need a tracking number to confirm my post? I would be happy to provide a screenshot sample if you feel you need it. 😉

Got it, my bad. Here is a post from yesterday... if that makes a difference. 😉

The Chicago Distribution Center is where mail to the midwest goes to die - at all times of the year. With Denver a close second.

Well, it appears that Oak Creek is a problem this year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avN17hFCDmw

There are multiple sort facilities in the Chicago area. Just off the top of my head, there's Palatine, Elk Grove Village, Carol Stream... Most of my shipments go through EGV, and last year they had some real nightmares, with entire trailers getting backed up in their lot and sitting around waiting to be unloaded, but we saw none of that this year.
As for Oak Creek, I checked my tracking updates for this month and found several that passed through Oak Creek in early December, all of which took no more than one day to do so. I'm sure every sort facility has its bad days (or weeks, in this season), but Oak Creek does not seem to stand out from the pack, in general. I know the local reporter heard some horror stories, but their report seemed pretty balanced, IMHO.
