Dropped 4 packages at the UPS terminal Monday 2/22. 3 packages had scanned tracking and have been delivered. One package has no tracking , but reads that it has not been received by UPS. Went to UPS(where I dropped off all 4) UPSwas able to see me dropping the packages off Monday ( with their security cameras), but unable to help from that point without tracking!
Well, without tracking that means I can not file a claim to get any of my money back, and of course will have to refund $133 to buyer
Help any ideas??

eBay will say the same as stated in their seller protection statements:
Have to have carrier scans

I don't "do" UPS..............but isn't there a chance it will get scanned further on in the system?

If you can go back to the UPS store and have them scan?
That might help

I would have thought so, but UPS does not seem to operate as USPS with scans here and there.
I reprinted the label, and UPS scanned showing the same results I saw. Sellers may not know this, but when choosing UPS or Fedex eBay has their own account so if sellers need to file a claim they have to as either 3rd party or receiver.
Since, it appears UPS has not scanned I have no proof that I delivered it to the terminal (not a store).

That's why I always get a receipt. That's your proof of drop off.

as I told you before filing a claim with fedex or ups has noting to do with 3rd party e bay account. It is because you did not get a scan of acceptance. I have filed a claim for loss and had NO problems. The issue is you did not get a scan when you dropped it off.

I go for the best price and service. USPS wanted $33 to ship this compared to UPS $13 that's why .
I am constantly comparing as I sell larger, heavy items at times that can get costly..

You claim to have told me, but that is not what UPS told me so whom should I believe? I just repeated what UPS told me. So I did tell you..
I trust UPS as they are the ones I am filing the claim for a refund.

Correction: It is not me that did not scan the item it was UPS think you are confused, but thanks anyway.

I pretty much know that UPS failed at scanning the package, and my husband did not ask for a receipt as he usually does.
The only reason I started this discussion was to see if anyone had ideas around the problem, and hopefully the item gets delivered somehow someway..
Thank you for your help:)

I use ebay shipping labels for USPS almost exclusively. Yet I never just drop off my boxes I make sure I hand them to a postal employee and have them scan the packages in and give me a reciept.

Looks like your husband will be sleeping on the sofa tonight?! 😁

Your items are much more expensive than mine, hence need the extra. I do feel a $20 item needs to be scanned with receipt especially in Memphis TN were the lines are out the door, and USPS takes coffee breaks every minute.
A Lot of this depends of the item cost, and environment that one lives in, and mine is very challenged to say the least.
