HELP> UPS did not scan my package now I have no tracking>IDEAS?

Dropped 4 packages at the UPS terminal Monday 2/22. 3  packages had scanned tracking and have been delivered. One package has no tracking , but reads that it has not been received by UPS. Went to UPS(where I dropped off all 4) UPSwas able to see me dropping the packages off Monday ( with their security cameras), but unable to help from that point without tracking!

Well, without tracking that means I can not file a claim to get any of my money back, and of course will have to refund $133 to buyer

Help any ideas??

I had that happen once.  It was a large heavy box.  I always wait to get a receipt no matter how long it takes.  Without tracking UPS won't do a thing which means you get screwed.

you can be as defensive as you like but UPS is trying to get out of resposibility as best as possible.

It is up to US to get a scan no matter how long we have to wait for one.  It is that simple.

This quest stands on the edge of a blade...stray but a little and you shall fail to the ruin of us all.

Never just drop off packages and leave them for a worker to scan them in. Get in line and wait for a counter worker to scan them in and give you a receipt that will show each tracking number of the packages you dropped off and proof the packages were accepted by them and in their possession. This receipt is also key for claims.

UPS doesn't guarantee scanning, nor do they guarantee delivery. They guarantee on-time delivery for your shipping fee. eBay turns this into a guarantee of "your package will be here on time," and if it's not, you pay the price. Couriers that guarantee delivery of really important items, like transplant organs, charge a lot more than UPS does.

Inasmuch as eBay is making up extra promises that UPS never made in the first place, you really can't expect UPS to change their behavior. UPS doesn't collect any additional fees from eBay in exchange for eBay fluffing their promises up.

That said, UPS usually "catches up." Sometimes there are network outages or portable scanners fail to upload properly. Eventually it gets scanned somewhere. Anything shipped by UPS has an ID number.
