Hello to all,
This is my first purchase on ebay :
I bought a socket (brand new) from a seller in UK , the item have to sent via the GSP - Pitney Bowes to me (Slovenia). When the package arrived it contains two different size and type sockets in brand new sealed condition instead of the the one I have order.I open a return request as wrong item received , seller ask for some photos , I sent them to him, then seller response is that these are not the items he have sent to me and that my order is still in transit ! , after that he accept my return , but after that he ask me to close the return request as he have no idea how the return was accepted! Can anyone more familiar please help me ???

Do not close the return.
The seller needs to contact eBay and let them know that this was a GSP case and they forwarded the wrong item.
Again, do not close the case until you get a refund.

Do not close your request.

If you still have your hands on your package @facom_power carefully peel it up to check if there's another label showing the WRONG SELLER under your label:

I have ask seller to contact ebay to let them know that this is gsp shipping sale.
No response from him yet.
Is it true that I can have open a case in resolution centre instead of the return request ?
Thank you!

It's the same thing: From either your Purchase history or the Resolution center, you start a return request for the reason Wrong item sent.

Yesterday I decide to send also a detailed e-mail to ebay .
Today I has receive a reply that customer support will force the seller to accept the return and to pay return postage , interestingly they mention that GSP was used but they think that is seller fault and he just sent me the wrong items ?

No response from the seller yet...
I have also try to call him at the number provided (he is a business seller) but he decide to reject my calls twice. This behavior is at least unacceptable to me even if he have sent the correct item and gets mixed at the GSP hub , mistakes do happen but customer approach is the key IMHO, at the end the only sure thing is that I am not responsible for this issue at all...
Please let me know what do you think guys ?
Thank you!

To confirm a mix-up, do you see another buyer's name, and not your name, when you peel up the label that GSP affixed onto your package, @facom_power?

Under the shipping label is another one but it is impossible to remove it intact as they are very hard affixed together...
Still not a word from seller about return postage...

Open a Dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.
State that this is a GSP shipping problem and ask to be forwarded to a GSP specialist.
The reason for the Dispute is Not As Described.
The GSP is responsible for this mess, not the seller.
But the seller is giving you bad advice, probably innocently.
The probable reason for the problem is a switch at the GSP plant in Kentucky.
Stuff happens.
Normally what would happen is that the GSP refunds you in full. You can then purchase again the item you actually need.
You can even buy it from the original seller, once you have explained what happened and how it was resolved.
There will be no problem for the seller, since the error was not his.
I am in Canada, and while we see this kind of problem as BUYERS from time to time we don't see it often.
The main point is to get the seller out of the way and to deal with GSP who are very accepting that sometimes they make mistakes.
ASK FOR A GSP SPECIALIST.

Thanks for tips about label removal I will try them...
Seller has not respond during the 5 days period at all.
Now the case status is Pending - Hang on, we're still reviewing your case
We'll be in touch with you soon...
Any idea how long it will take this process ?
Thank you!

When the seller does not take action during the 5-day hold, eBay will, within hours, force a full refund without requiring a return. You'll have to buy the correct tool again. But peel up the label anyway, to see what it says.

As Scout already mention ebay issued a full refund w/o asking to ship item back!
I have finally the shipping label removed but it reveals the sender address from one old shipment of supplies...
Thank you all for your great help guys !
