Free shipping with a regular envelope

want to sell a short length of trim in a regular envelope with a stamp and free shipping. 

it isn't in a category for the ebay standard envelope so that option isn't available

what shipping method should I select as i don't want the buyer to think I am using ground adv.

On the listing form under "Cost type," elect "flat rate" rather than calculated shipping, and then from the menu of services choose generic  'Standard" shipping with no service specified.

even if I click on 'mark as shipped', I assume this will affect my metrics as there won't be tracking, right?

That's right, that trasaction will not get any credit for tracking.

figured that so I listed on my id that is just 'above standard'.
