So, my girlfriend and I are in the market for a portable dryer. We've done our research, and found a good deal on a Panda 3.75 cu. ft. model through the seller VM Innovations. The ad states that they will deliver the item for free within 4 days...
Since it's a fairly large item and I know not to count my chickadees before they crack their shell I add the item to my cart, apply the current summer discount code which saves me an additional $50 (sweet right?!), and go to the check out page to review the final costs. Lo and behold there are no free shipping options. I only have one option for $83 for 3 days shipping or another for 2 day shipping at $122.
Am I missing something here? It seems to me that if an item is listed with free shipping you shouldn't have to pay for shipping costs LOL. I went to ask the seller about the discrepancy and went through the "Ask seller a question" system, but got something to the effect of "Since this seller encounters a high volume of questions your particular question doesn't matter to them. We won't even allow you to send it in to them so later dude, no answerz 4 U! 😛 BI BI!." (Ok, it wasn't that silly, but pretty close. 😉 )
Does anyone know what the deal with VM Innovations is? Is there a way to contact them about these questions? Isn't that false advertising? What is the meaning of life? Etc. Etc.
Thanks for your help in advance!

People really need to stop using 'free shipping' unless anyone can find a shipping carrier that doesn't charge anything. The term is 'shipping included' or similar.
VMI has always included shipping in their price any time I bought from them. And I usually get it in just a few days via FedEx Ground.

I've always been of the mind that shipping costs should just be included in all ads, or at least the possible spread of potential costs depending on distance to ship etc., but c 'est la vie.
I was able to send in a question to the seller via a different route so we'll see what they say... Still interested in hearing if anyone has any interactions they'd care to share about past dealings with them. And thanks all for the input so far. 🙂

Free shipping applies only when you pay the regular listing price ?
You do not receive free shipping when you utilize the code ?

I have noticed that on the checkout page sometimes the free shipping is below the line on that PAGE and I have to roll down to see the free shipping option. eBay makes MORE money on the faster shipping so I always think that is why they do that...No offence given to the Seller, they have nothing to do with the placement of the different shipping options.

Nope. Thats not possible.
Somehow sellers have figured out a glitch & are taking advantage of it. Numerous posts about this in the community.
