Free Shipping on First Item - Charge on Each Additional

I have a couple auctions where the same multiple items are within one listing.  Buy anywhere from 1 to 5, for example.  Is there a way to have free shipping on the first item but if you buy more it's $X addition to shipping?  I've been on eBay forever and this is the first time I'm trying to offer shipping this way.

Is it possible?  I tried $0 for first item, $X for each additional.  Ebay doesn't allow it.

Your proposal is illogical. Why would anyone buy multiples and pay for shipping when they could buy them individually and get free shipping.

I'd just buy them each separately so I'd get free shipping on each of them

Because I'm pretty sure I've seen it done before and was wondering.  Just carry on if you're not going to help.

Can't be done and we are trying to help you by letting you know a smart buyer would just buy and pay for each item separately to get your free shipping.
