First post here.....I NEED HELP......eBay shipping tracker not working and I'm getting hit hard !

So, I've tried to contact eBay 4 times now.....no success.  Either they act like it's been taken care of, or they just don't have anyone to help me.  They keep sending me a canned response that doesn't fit my issue.

I have a buyer who's routinely purchasing multiple items that total around $500.  She demands I ship priority FULLY insured (I'm happy to do that).  Ebay only offers up to $100 shipping---so I must physically take these items to the post office.

I also add signature restricted, as this buyer has had items stolen.  A side note, due to covid, these folks are signing FOR her (maddening all on it's own since this added feature is about $5.00).

Anyway......so for whatever reason eBay tacking system isn't registering these packages. For each and every item I have been charged as "no tracking updates".  For around 60 items now.  My percentage is down to 85% !!!

I have babied my feedback and ALLmy stats for the 10 years selling here. I've never shipped a late package even once.  This just has me in tears......watching my score fall into the depths and have zero recourse.

What can I do? is there any help for me here? thanks for listening......it felt good just to type all this out.

I have never used a scan sheet in my life... they do not lower the eBay metrics.  Scan sheets are for the PO so they can scan the thingy at the bottom of the sheet instead of scanning each individual package into their system. And you get a scan sheet when you print the labels on-line and you use a system that will put all your packages Tracking numbers into one sheet, then at the bottom there is a code, the PO scans it, and poof all the tracking numbers are entered into the PO's system at one time.

If you put tracking numbers into the spot on the sales form it SHOULD go right... every now and then eBay glitches and they don't connect the dots.

"blues" are the ebay employees that come to these boards and help where they can... they have @eBay at the end of their names.

Hmm the entered tracking number not to be updating were the tracking shows on the USPS site is such:

Most likely entered the wrong number in, or the wrong shipper in eBay.

Experience tells me this.

just saying.

As for the rest take all packages to the PO and have them scanned.

Even so still possible they will go to the were is it pile...after received and accepted.

Scan sheets have nothing to do with metrics, it's the actual tracking number that does.

Ohhhh, OK, that's what blues are.  I'll check into that.  Going to try and get to thread soon.

@donsdetour  yes, I do take them to the PO and watch them being scanned.  I also ask for a physical copy of my receipt (and I have them all in my possession still).  Tracking numbers match.

I have had delays in the updates with eBay tracking ( PB I believe) and the USPS. Never the variation you have.

i spoke to ebay and scan sheets do lower your metrics when they are not uploaded..... my metrics..

Just out of curiosity, are you outside the US? if so, maybe that's the reason your parameters appear a little different?

Go in to each listing and enter the USPS tracking code from your USPS receipt. Once you type in the code on the first one, you can copy and paste the code on all the rest. Labor intensive to do this 60 times, but it will cure your problem.

Perhaps whoever you spoke to at ebay has a different idea of what a scan sheet is.  

As long as the package tracking number is showing on ebay it doesn't matter if the post office

scanned that number using a scan sheet or scanned the package itself.

That report is showing numerous packages that received no carrier scans by the postal service anywhere along the way.  If you had a valid tracking number unloaded on time, then even a delivery scan would have qualified.  

I'm not familiar with using postage stamps and then getting a tracking number at the post office.  Do you pay extra for that?  Are you able to track your items to delivery with those?   It seems those numbers are not being scanned.

A scan sheet is a different thing.

I have no qualms about any prices.  It's the fact that eBay isn't noticing the tracking updates (despite there being tracking updates).  For some reason they are not seeing them?

In any case, there is a gal up in the thread there who had an identical situation (and it was resolved in her favor).  Her percentage dropped even more than mine (in the 50% s).  

See, there are a myriad of items here that are not being properly credited.  There's some glitch somewhere.  It seems to be when I enter them in manually.

I am hopeful that since she saw a motive resolution......maybe I will, too?
