I went on ebay to purchase a power supply. Made an account, their client and server code filled in a lot of blanks. Unbeknownst to me, they spliced my shipping and billing addresses. The city was replaced for whatever reason. I didn't use automatic form inputs and I verified my shipping address before making the purchase. How? HOW?
The order went through and I received an email. I noticed the address mistake late. contacted seller and ebay. Ebay said I would have to wait for the return to happen before trying to get a refund and reorder. Seller said they would issue a refund IF they got their package back. They received their package. It shows in the order status. I have not received any communication henceforth and ebay refuses to address the requests. I keep getting replies from customer support saying 'this address is not being monitored'. This is incredibly infuriating. I have tried to get in touch with pay pal now and still in the dark. HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK.

Good to hear you resolved it. In case somebody else finds this post and they have the same problem:
- Buyers are responsible for providing an accurate address at checkout
- If a package is returned to the seller as undeliverable due to a bad/wrong address the seller is not required by eBay to refund. However - most decent sellers will either refund subtracting their original ship cost and eBay fees, refund in full as a courtesy, or send an invoice so the buyer can re-pay to ship to their new address
Having said that - since you said this was an issue caused by the system messing up your billing and shipping addresses the way to go here would be first trying to work it out with the seller. If that fails then contact eBay customer support on FaceBook, Twitter or one of the help pages on this site. CS would probably give you a courtesy refund since this was an eBay problem, not a seller problem.
