High Not as Described Warning

This is the first time I've really posted anything in 10 years. I don't really have a reason other than just being completely and utterly fed up.

I've been a top-rated seller for the entire decade I've been listing (not that that means anything today since there's no benefits). With the new standards for increasing FVF for not as described I'm just defeated at this point. Number of listings have gone up 20% and sales have gone down by well over 20% in the last 2 years... its become barely worth it. Even that is semi tolerable, it's at least a puzzle to try to figure out and maybe to get back on track.

However, when eBay gives incentives to people open NAD for free returns, and if you're in a high return category that just can't give free returns as a standard option, you're going to get a ton of buyer remorse cases opened as NAD. I get the people who just assume if you get to that point it has to be you and I'll be the first to admit I'm not perfect. But, with very few people leaving feedback, 1 rough patch of 3-4 NAD's from people just not wanting to pay a return shipment... and you're sunk. I've participated in eBay's Expression program, I've followed all their rules, I'm just at a loss of words because of these policies.

To me, it's clear eBay is circling the drain and to keep investors happy they're trying as many creative ways as possible to suck every dime out of sellers as they can bit by bit (adding FVF to shipping, adding promoted listings, taking away top-rated seller benefits, changing the good till cancellation fees,  doing away with majority of the free listing promotions...). I sincerely hope they try to make a better product to ensure a more long-term success, but it really seems they're just grabbing their valuables out of the fire and running.

My 2 cents, hopefully the .00001% chance that someone from eBay reads this and at least doesn't try to screw us on the next patch even harder... or at least someone else has similar feelings might get a tad bit of comfort they're not alone.
